Well it "could" happen, because the number could be a roll forward (once something goes passed 0, it goes to the maximum size it can support). The reason its such a random number is because your not including the days and minutes.

It happens when it runs out, and you still have it equiped. It will be a high number until you take it off. Once you take it off, it will dissapear.
