The new hack

I read the whole topic in the official gunz forum, too. I understand why he did this and still does it. But I think he has gone/will go too far! Probably, MAIET is already working on this but I don't know how complicated the problem is. If they need to rewrite the whole client it takes longer then just changing a few lines of it.

Does anybody of you know if the patch tomorrow will fix it?

Next patch is meant to allow players to see how many people are on a server before they log in.

Do you really think that this is the only thing they'll do with the next patch? Not really. I hope they fix many bugs that arised with the last patch, too, like the /friend add command or the bug about Port. I think there are many more but that were the most important ones that came to my mind

Impossible. At least currently.

Like Recu said, anything you can do yourself while playing Gunz, a hacker can do. Only it&#39;s a b itt harder for them.

And currently nobody&#39;s been able to "target" anyone with hacks. The hacker from the other day did it with sequential char IDs, like have ID 1 do it, then 2, then 3, then so on. Targetted hacks are possible though, for sure.

There&#39;s also something going around about the same hacker coming back sometime today (Sunday) and he&#39;s going to delete characters this time. I know for a fact it&#39;s possible, so it&#39;s probably in your best interest to stay offline today. So far it can&#39;t affect offline chars.

He said he&#39;d lay off Sunday&#39;s little &#39;expedition&#39; until the patch happens. If the patch fixes it, well, he&#39;ll just move onto finding other exploits. If it doesn&#39;t, then he&#39;ll start doing such a thing.
