The reason it is SO difficult to "leave" the friends zone is because the girl will either put you as a "friend" or "potential mate" period. It is hard for her to change her schema of YOU especially as time goes by. But you can start to be a little more distant from her and maybe act differently or w/e but that might even backfire. She might be like wtf, this guy is changing and hes so weird. <- Backfire.

I recommend you move on and REALLY treat her like a little sister. Go hang out with other girls and DONT worry so much. If best comes to best, she will start liking you. But the FACT that you are her friend RIGHT NOW is enough proof that what you are doing RIGHT NOW is NOT working. Move on, mentally and emotionally and maybe a gate will open up later in the future.

During high school, that's how I met most of the pretty girls at my school. Started as friends and moved on from there. Don't just tunnel vision one girl or this will not work. Let your options be wide open and have fun with many girls. You gotta remember, the main reason it worked so well for me is because EVERYONE almost does the opposite of what I did and hit on the girl like its the end of the world. That's what separates me from the rest of the horny kids. And once she likes you, don't *** it up or change yourself. Although this may be cliche, be yourself.
