Default How Gunz 2 should have compared to the original

Valve know what the selling point is, and then build around that core. MAIET should do the same right? You can see they've tried to keep it as familiar as possible, right down to models and animations.

This game is over 5 years old, I think it needs improvements even if it takes some of the things we all know and love.

Okay I agree mostly with this, but K-style was the heart and soul of Gunz 1. Did it deserve to get ripped out purely so that the learning curve could be taken way down? In the time where E-sports are on the rise, why would you deliberately take out the most competitive element of the game? This game would be so much more ill if they had just kept k-style and rebuilt nearly everything else. The graphics were in need of updating, and different character classes would have been even more interesting if say, you had upgraded the current e-style to something a little less awkward. I'm not against the "dashing with guns out", again that would be something to improve and upgrade e-stylers. Plus it's gotta be more then just a little disappointing for current gunz players to have to accept that all those hours practicing techniques and honing skills were all for naught when this new game releases. I mean... C'mon mannn.

I entirely and fully agree with this point. It's like i have previously posted so passionately about, i have been playing Gunz the Duel ever since it began just about, along side that i have played IGunz as well. Ever sicne Gunz began for me i looked at it as being an ok game though this was only at the beginning of my journey into the game. I started out as a noob like everyone else and or most...and just the same i wanted to get better being such a crazed computer fan and lover as i was...seeing as how computers were just being brought out into the world at that time...roughly...and so i continued my gaming skills in gunz and eventually got better...the first step was me learning RS which is a glitch of sorts where as you shoot 2 shot guns at the same time...made by the people/players of gunz through in genius configuration...after that i started to focus on the skills that went into K-Style...The overall advanced movement and playing style of gunz which allows 1 to do so many things such as advanced moves from Fbs-Dhs-Ths-WS-HS...so many different movements and playing styles that allowed for the BIGGEST and most DIVERSE competition and PVP i guess computer sport Ever. Gunz the duel became more than just a at first thought to be another regular online game. It became one of the most competitive online games out there at its time. I remember the times of gunz in which there was 5-10k people playing the world of Gunz was infinite i thought. Everyday All Servers Would be Maxed out at their limits took atleast 5 minutes just to log in...not to mention to get into a channel. Private/Clan/Free-Beginner-Ved-Exp 1&2-Elite! And so on...

Gunz was the competitive sport where as....players STRIVED 2 be #1....and this is where we got the pros of our time or pros of the year..players of the year people engraved into the world of gunz as being our best players....names such as Amaz0n VenoM Shotgun SantuarY just a few to name right off the back...but there are soooo much more than this. Players that have worked hard to compete in duels and team death matches....players who wanted to be both the best Solo 1v1 player and also the Best Tdm Team Work based player on the game....which is where players started to think how can i do this n how can i move faster...which went into the configuration of keys and thus K-Style was morn through the advancement key strokes and movements of the game.

MAIET may not understand this but has also admitted it in previous interviews and posts....that K-style was a in-game player made Tactic/Technique...made by us and not them though is a wall or i guess i should say Limit to some players who arn't skilled enough to learn it thus limiting their abilities and ability to kill others...aside from the average questing....But what they dont understand is that Gunz did not become one of THE MOST POPULAR GAMES on the Internet from mere questing...and simple 1 key stroke movements and 1 sword slashes...it got to that point from the inavation of K-Style which made Gunz a Challenge...it made players want to work hard and spend hours on it in order to become a someone if you will or just be good at the game...which brought hundreds thousands of players on board.

And sadly enough Gunz....to me now has become...a shadow of of the game i once loved....with a population of less LESS THAN 200 PLAYERS....it sadens me to see the game that was once filled up to the max with challenging and good people....questers and pvpers alike....that enjoyed the game for what it was...have all gone and left it was from the Lack of Further movement into the future. MAIET could have easily made a ton more maps...seeing as how the game they made was booming through the roofs but no they didn't they let it continue as if nothing was going to change.

They could have added on features like that of SF like Capture the Flag....or Territory Capture...things like that more customized and advanced playing features. Added more weapons and clothing and harder quests and bosses but no they left it alone. GunZ did not need a sequel...it needed a sequel simply because they let the first go to shame and ruins. Instead of building it up more they let it crumble into peices.

Even i a long time Gunz player still play the game im 18 now...even though there is a lack of players i still play for the love of the game....and the love of K-styling i can do things other people can't which sets me aside from the regular player...Tbfing,Dhs,HSWS i know it all im pretty sure...i've gotten that good...though lol i do know my leader as of now Enzo/SantuarY/Haunt...for the last 3-4 years still 3-4 shots me every time with his complex playing style...that ceases to amaze me...i can't understand the way he moves and how he does it...his supreme aim that is on the level of the best players to have logged into gunz...i have yet to learn that but am still willing to learn it...im not entirely aprihensive to it...or unknowledgable actually its none of those things...i now only play on weekends or days im free which isn't many...and a player like me im just no good if im not consistantly playing...i havn't become so good where as i can take month breaks come back and easily beat someone...or equal strength...

Though aside from all this, i stick to my main purpose in this story and message. That K-style was indeed the Heart of Gunz it is why it was so popular and diverse...without us the players and k-style there most likely would not have even been a gunz 2 or well the moves incorporated would not be there like they are now.I believe without K-style and even lead....i hate to admit...Gunz will never be the same...it is the differences that set us apart and make us want to do better than the other. I can do this faster than you so the boy goes and trains comes back for a rematch...an never ending competition between the 2 that competitive spirit we all have..that was put into Tournaments and Duels. 1 person being better than the other....and now it's being torn down....i have not yet played this new Gunz the 2nd duel but if it isn't anything like that of the original i have no need or want to spend the little amount of free time i get to play a game such as that....id rather stick to the old version.

HOLLY **** that's a massive wall of texts. But now they have taken k-style out I have no want to play a game that is going to be easy to master. I use to enjoy spending hours bashing my head against the wall trying to learn k style. Well I didn't enjoy it at the time but it paid off.

Thats what everyone wanted from the beginning. I'd laugh so hard if GunZ 2 didn't have lead.

Umm, Is this just like source with better graphics and more features? Or a brand new game like 1.6 was to source anyone know?

Even if gunz 1 had zero problems it would still be a dying game. Many people quit because the game got boring, not because of item imbalance or pay to win. If you were anyone good there was a way to get people to gift you. If not it's not like it was hard using cashrebel or playspan back in the day.

It died because of UC + having to lead in my opinion... 4 differents ping teams + twin names was just unbearable!

There's no reason to have equal balance, then it wouldn't be much different.

    But yes, since it's GunZ...

Man that would have sucked so bad. Not knowing what to lead. Glad I never faced that problem. XD
