I personally love no lead, and that's from someone who has played since june 2005. I just never could grasp the concept of missing a shot so that you could actually hit the shot. There is no definitive way to lead and always hit because you cannot simply tell the future. You can predict where they are moving but most people who lead shot probably don't exactly realize the mechanics of what they're even doing. It's not because you, for some odd reason, have to shoot to the left and right of someone, it's because of the delay and every place you shoot, you have to predict where your opponent will be. When the ping gets into the 100-200-and god forbid 300, it's almost impossible. You have to just turn your gun to the right and hope that in 2-3 seconds your opponent will be over in that direction. Competition has to be as fair as possible and while you might be able to predict accurately and lead most shots, there is always the possibility of the opponent not going the same direction you expected or w/e and he might accidentally miss his own shot, which actually ends up hitting you because of the latency, and win. No lead is you shoot and where you shoot hits, so it's more fair in my book.
Good idea. I might just come back (although I've quit all Pc games for over a month and counting lol) if something like this was implemented on GunZ. I can see a lot of old players coming back and Gunz becoming a very lively community again. I think what really lacked in this game was the lack of effort that GM's put to update, and improve the game as a whole. Especially with new games coming out and considering this game is so old. However, a merging with Aeria or w/e it's called will surely help this game a lot. Cool stuff

i hope everyone...well old gen 05s play Gunz 2. Would like to see all dem oceans and gnomes and gosus come back to play. HOPEFully there can be a good prize pool too for tourneys and such. But yeah Gunz 1 for 4yrs + and I still couldnt lead shot well. ._. Missing to hit was just retarded. And thats why Gunz was never seen good enough for real competitive play. I'm addicted to League of Legends currently.
im playing gunz again, but lead sucks doggy ass because theirs over 100% beaners in gunz ;c!
Once the smoke clears on Aeria, maybe we can try this again. Aeria existed prior to GunZ, unlike ijji, which could make them more sensible.

what you guys (as well as I) can do at the moment is urge ijji to forward the issue to Aeria, who can take further action in pushing MAIET
I know it seems like a lost cause, and perhaps it is, but there's still a chance - and I'm fighting for it.
I need as many people as possible to go to the ijji forums link (seen on my original post) and continue to post/bump "forward this to Aeria" or something along the lines of that

Good luck. Making the player decide on anti lead or lead servers is a great idea.
This topic is like a year old now, does this mean Gunz is saved and has an active community atm?
Or is it, like expected, dead?
Only reason im asking is cuz i wanna know if its still worth selling a Gunz account.
Btw, you say in the first post that the community is important and has to work together in order to save Gunz,
but just like many others, ive quitted because off the community ...

Although it seems like sometimes The GunZ community hops out of these trenches made.
But, now I think GunZ has fallen in these trenches and is lost forever

So here's an official update on Op: Revive GunZ, Aeriagames has taken over GunZ, and I've noticed they've made a few changes since their beta.
1) implemented an in-game FPS limiter
2) implemented consistent GM events
3) Merged region-specific servers into two (Quest & ClanWar)
4) Balanced bounty items to compete with prems
So there is progress!
