Humans would never learn to live for themselves if God were to solve all their problems.
If God solved all their problems, humans wouldn't need to learn to live for themselves.
God wanted humans to learn to live for themselves. Read the Bible.
You mean where God regularly intervenes with human lives?
God doesn't intervene in human's lives anymore because it caused more evil than good, and the humans don't deserve it.
If God isn't mentally retarded, he can intervene with humans without causing more evil than good. He's the one who created humans, so if humans don't deserve it, then it's really his fault for creating faulty humans.
Why would he want to create perfection? Life is meaningless if we all could solve every problem.
I don't think we're puppets.
God is your mind. You are God.
I like to label "God" as a placebo, maybe a undiscovered, but tiny, tiny lobe in our brain.
I sat on a rock near the sea. A ship had just put out from shore a fun sail: an imperceptible dot had appeared on the horizon and was gradually approaching, growing rapidly, pushed on by the squall. The storm was going to begin its onslaughts and already the sky was darkening, turning into a blackness almost as hideous as a man's heart.
That's why there is religion

If we're basically "inventions" who in the world would make something that purposely doesn't work perfectly? Do you buy a computer specifically made to screw up?
i dunno .
