| Member | Lol good comp's don't cause fps lag, quad cores cause random glitches for an old game such as gliding or longer reload times or screen shakes when massiving etc. That has nothing to do with FPS lag at all~~ probably just needs to update all drivers or something. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | I would say it's most likely caused by instability with the CPU(processor). Once you get in Gunz. Alt-tab out. Once you get to your desktop and everything is done loading, hit control+alt+delete and tell me what your cpu usage is. Watch it, if it should be like 25%< constantly(less than 25.) It shouldn't spike up or be above 50%. If it is, try restarting your cpu. That should lower it. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Thought that was what people call fps lag nowadays. Can you define it for me please? People tell me different stuff so now I'm getting confused. The version of fps lag I'm talking about is when you have a good computer.. lets say dual core, 8800 graphics card. High frames can cause screen tearing and yeah you'll start slipping and sliding because GunZ is an old game as you said. Thats all I've ever experienced. btw FPS lag is literally lagginess with the gameplay, like choppyness slow motiony slower animation play, you shouldn't feel fps lag unless your fps drops drastically really fast like a spike from 700 fps to 300 or unless the fps drops below 60, 60 is all the eye can pretty much see the rest isn't needed, its like eye candy. Me for example, my fps is a constant 15-60 on any and all maps, its so bad that when i have fraps open and i hit record, it wont record because it would be in negative fps lol. Pretty much like a still picture which is what 1 fps would be. Last edited by Seta; 07-06-2008 at 02:54 AM. | |
