Shouldn't be a prob if he has single or dual core, he either has a virus or his cpu usage is spiking a lot.
Okay I'll sum it up. Good computers = "fps lag".

Lol good comp's don't cause fps lag, quad cores cause random glitches for an old game such as gliding or longer reload times or screen shakes when massiving etc. That has nothing to do with FPS lag at all~~ probably just needs to update all drivers or something.

Good computers don't cause FPS lag are you mental??
FPS lag can be caused by internet connection, too many running programs, RAM, graphics card, etc...

Hence GOOD comps, Btw Internet does nothing to the frames. Played with 15-50 fps since igunz.

I would say it's most likely caused by instability with the CPU(processor).

Once you get in Gunz. Alt-tab out. Once you get to your desktop and everything is done loading, hit control+alt+delete and tell me what your cpu usage is. Watch it, if it should be like 25%< constantly(less than 25.) It shouldn't spike up or be above 50%. If it is, try restarting your cpu. That should lower it.

Thought that was what people call fps lag nowadays. Can you define it for me please? People tell me different stuff so now I'm getting confused. The version of fps lag I'm talking about is when you have a good computer.. lets say dual core, 8800 graphics card. High frames can cause screen tearing and yeah you'll start slipping and sliding because GunZ is an old game as you said. Thats all I've ever experienced.

Sounds like both the processor and something wrong with your video card, You can never have too high fps and it mess up lol. CPU speed might be too fast, like a over clocked dual core 3.2ghz amd or something, amd's usually run a bit faster then intels from what i know, dual 2.4 amd is like a 2.8 or 3.0 dual intel. CPU is definite for the gliding and ****.. probably because it's an old game and it was a game built with really low requirements to run it so it might be having trouble with a faster comp and also gunz was built kind of ****ty if you cant tell the coding and all that is terrible kind of half ass'd, but the tearing imo sounds like your graphics card may be overheating or may be messing up a bit. If your case is open and collects dust some how that often causes problems so you might want to clean everything out, and if your computer makes really loud sounds or the fan picks up then you don't have enough cooling power in your system. Make sure the vid card isn't melting or anything bad like that. I would just clean the comp make sure the video card is ok and maybe turn on something to make the processor do more work like listening to windows media player while d/ling something or have another game open at the same time as gunz to use up more of its power and balance things out a bit.

btw FPS lag is literally lagginess with the gameplay, like choppyness slow motiony slower animation play, you shouldn't feel fps lag unless your fps drops drastically really fast like a spike from 700 fps to 300 or unless the fps drops below 60, 60 is all the eye can pretty much see the rest isn't needed, its like eye candy. Me for example, my fps is a constant 15-60 on any and all maps, its so bad that when i have fraps open and i hit record, it wont record because it would be in negative fps lol. Pretty much like a still picture which is what 1 fps would be.
