I know someone who also had a similar problem, he was very angry at the teacher and wanted to attack him. However, instead of choosing to punch the teacher, he smashed the table/wall. He did get an injury on his hand, but ultimately the consequences were not as serious as if he had attacked the teacher. He told me something which I found to be very true.

No matter how angry you have gotten, you can still think. You can still think of the consequences. You can still control yourself. The only reason one ever claims he lost control over himself in anger is because he let himself get controlled by his anger completely. You have not, and you did not let your anger completely control you. You thought of the consequences, and forced yourself to be in control. That is very commendable.

You said that you did calm down in the earlier parts of your life in your first post here right? What was the exact reason why you did not get angry as easily back then? Maybe by reflecting over that period of time you can find a way to help you calm down a little.

Whatever it is, just remember that emotions are not for anyone to control, but emotions are also not what controls the person in his every action.

Emotions only affect your thinking. It doesn't affect your decision.

But your thinking CAN affect your decision.

But yes, that does seem true though.
I don't think people who have anger problems go "blind with rage". Instead they are just really ****ing angry but still understand things like a normal person that wasn't angry.

I knew a kid who had anger issues and he controls it pretty well besides the occasional "I want to kick the **** out of that person" thought.

You can try shouting out loud. It can let all your anger out.

How does one channel his rage into playing a game?
You kill people.
Quote:
Isn't your performance in most fast-pace games limited to the intensity level of which you play at?
Yeah, but it isn't about how good you do, it's about letting it out.
Quote:
At what point would you start to lose your rationality when angry? What good are you doing to yourself if you're playing a game with a risk of losing and getting upset? I certainly wouldn't want to continue playing a game if I'm angry, and on top of that, pushing it when I start losing; I'd probably proceed to hitting the keyboard or punching the wall until it breaks.
That's just the thing, though, you're not playing to win, you're playing to "fight" the safest way and most efficient way you can, virtually, to get it out. You can just do stuff you otherwise never could. Can you shoot someone in real life to get your anger out? Well you can, but it'd be a terrible decision and one I'm sure pretty much no one is morally okay with.

But I'm not gonna lie, if you do this, you need to get a lot of control over yourself or else you're just gonna end up angry :/ You have to remember that it's just some dumb game, and that you're not playing to win, etc. And obviously you don't wanna play a game where you ONLY lose or something, or you'd have no chance to take it out.

Your ownly 15 years old young sir. Meaning your body is full of testosterone. Meaning you will be more agressive around your puberty years. say 11-18, maybe abit less.Just nature.

I have anger issues aswell, generally it gets easy to control, Music is usually the best relief after a days work, or learning or w/e. Just pick music that you know relaxes you and go to sleep or something.

But my anger manifests itself in rage or swearing. Usually it is never without provocation. As it will only happen when i feel pain when its not expected.
Only thing you can do is to just hold it in. And playing games, never worked for myself, unless its just plain ole fun and not competitive.

At the end its up to you buddy, but you really arent alone, most males of your ages will go through the exact same thing, its just there reaction that might change.

Counseling is a lot different than talking about it on a forum.
