| Gunzfactorian Guardian | If the person is ACTUALLY brain dead with 0% possibility to be revived then they should be allowed to pass on. However even if there is still a sliver of chance of revival there should be time given until that sliva of chance deminishs, any chance is worth it, but there are just some times that it is obvious you are keeping an empty shell alive. Now at the same time I do NOT believe in euthanasia because it can be seriously abused There should be a very very defined guideline as to when a person is to be taken off life support. Euthanasia insinuates taking the life of a living being, take off life support of those who have 0 chance of survival is allowing the dead to be dead |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | And you believe that someone who asks for euthanasia should be denied it? I do understand the idea that it could be abused, but I think people make out the guidelines to be "impossible to make" or a matter of "when to stop" when it's not. Absolutely not if their not terminal. Absolutely not if it's a situational of mental instability (the disease that has them there). Absolutely not if it's not a matter of pain. Absolutely not unless they, or the person acting on their behalf, says yes. If they want it, they're suffering, and they are going to die, why not make it as easy an peaceful as possible? |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | It's mostly in the case of disasters. The doctors who got cut off during Katrina are the most recent major situation I can think of. Low on meds, room, water, with patients who had no chance at life and were suffering. A lot illegally aided their patients in "suicide" and got charged for it. |
