Yeah...because he needs it sooo bad. Lil Wayne is an artist, he is going to make songs that people like so much they play it on the radio a billion times. What would be the point of pouring money into an album to have it recorded, produced, and then shipped out. If he didn't want the money in the first place? Why would anyone want to become a hip hop artist? I mean I understand now where you're coming from. Who would REALLY want to do a job and not get paid/recognized for it? Friggin DEE DE DEE, they're a business they want to make money. Lil Wayne is running a business, he wants to make money too. What matters is he doesn't change his style. It's always been the same. Everyone KNOWS he remixes other people's songs. There is two ways that it can be taken, "He's stealing their stuff" OR "He is an artist, therefore he only truly likes something once he has applied his touch." Bottom line is, Lil Wayne is an artist, and he doesn't care what you think. There are so many other people who like what he is for, what he is about, and what he does. I don't care what your going to say back to this, because I know I have the Lil Wayne topic on lockdown. If you think he is a bad artist, I can't change that, but respect the fact that he IS one of the best rappers alive. Not THE best, but on the list.

sumtin about his flow gets u hooked and i admit some his better songs are quite good lyrically. the stuff off like father like son with birdman or anything with that sound is gold

all the **** about him being a sellout or bein commercial and a pussy is pretty much irrelevant its his flow lyrics and style that im interested i and the consumer is interested in. money comes from making hits and making hits is a skill, just like freestyling and lyrics is a skill. 50 cent makes hot hits and hes suposedly a 'sellout' too

You should listen to some good freestyle rappers and you might learn a thing or two.

If you're talking about top off your head freestyling, illmaculate is definitely the best to pay a listen to.

As for freestyle over a beat, my personal favorites are propably chino XL, crooked I, Big L, canibus, jay z.
