Well, in a war, either side must win right? Well you can't avoid death in that, seeing through all the casualties in all the battles in WW2. And you do know that both sides ALSO want to end the war? Because if they were to keep continuing the war, ignoring the order of bombing Hiroshima, then the deaths were to eventually increase more than the amount of deaths caused by that bomb. BUT this may not be true, as none of us can look into the future of what will happen if the bomb didn't drop.

Typo, we *could* have. Not to say we would have, but it would have been a morally better choice if it were possible. Sure we wanted to make an impact, but I think that it would have been more than enough to just destroy a bunch of buildings if we were going on impact alone. We needed to end the war, the only was was to take out two major cities, we missed one.

Your an asshole, the japaneese did not want to give up because of their culture and they were tortureing our troops. We did what we had to do. Sure we killed Cilvians. Well 2 bad.
