Homosexualality is against my church beliefs, however it is also against our beliefs to shun/demoralize people based on what they think is right. I personally don't like it, but I accept it as something that is part of this world.

My mother is gay, this is not ' wierd ', ' strange ', ' bad ' I love my second mum like a real mum. I am against homophobic beliefs, acts or opinions in all and any way(s).

What i'm trying to say I guess is that the main reasons for people to be homophobic can be religion, well I find it strange, didn't god create everyone? Therefore why do both animals and humans perform acts of homosexuality and why are they homoesexual at all? Because it's just a different sexual preference, not bad not better just different.

If you think it makes you uncomfortable, well yes it will! Because you're not used to it, because many people say unkind things about it, because it was and today still slightly is not socially accepted. For those people that think they're all gracious and have the high and all mighty " I dont mind if they do it as long as its hidden away and I dont have to know its there " - Please. You should be the one hiding.

You can't really dispute Christianity's rejection of it. The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is not to be. Otherwise I agree with the opinion.

I infact have a friend whose mom is a lesbian in the fact that he gets taunted by the holy "Followers of god" that claim that she will burn in hell for eternity doesn't help the cause for christianity at all

It's one thing to have an opinion and another thing to openly make fun of something. Like I said, you can think whatever you want, but don't shove your insults in peoples faces.

Look, I can't control what other Christians do, what I can do is spead my own pilosophies and hope others catch on, I don't openly ridicules people for being different, and I would glady have gay friends, of course trying to do what I could to sway them away from that (because what I believe contradicts it). I'm not gonna go minister on them and tell them they're going to hell or w/e but rather gently make my stance clear and give them their own choice of what they want.

my opinion on homosexuality: I believe homosexuality is NOT a bad thing. homosexuality is perfectly natural and usually feels good for both people involved (except receiver when inexperienced). Many homosexuals are also very nice, though i do thing they should keep their fun to other homosexuals because not all do(in other words, homosexual flirting with straight=bad).

Just so you all know i am 15, Australian and have no religious beliefs or anything of the sort, im also straight.

right now there are roughly 3 different kinds of gay.
the extremely old gay which means happy.
gay as in the homosexuals.
and of cause gay as in crappy, ****ty, bad, terrible ect.

"thats gay" or "your gay" would be the third one, although its the same word its used in a different way that does not have anything to do with homosexuals. in cases that it IS used directed at homosexuality then it shouldnt be used, as it is often an insult to homosexuals and the person it is being used on.

the words fag and queer arent used AS much, but often as an insult to straight people and sometimes an insult to homosexuals, which is again a bad thing. insulting a single person isnt that bad but by using words like that in those ways you are insulting not only one person but an entire group of people, which could be quite large.
