Nothing affects the drop rates, nothing. It's 20% any way you look at it, and those aren't bad odds anymore. It used to be 3% then 6% when those rumors started, and once again they had no effect on the outcome.

Maybe this chart will explain the relationship between these techniques and drop rates better.

Hrm, back when I first got into questing, there was a rumor that I was spreading. It was about Superion. I would say, "His weakness is his back, shoot only in his back." Though this honestly did nothing. It would make novice teams last longer, because they would always be circling to attack his back. I'm much better at questing now, and I can solo Superion, so I've stopped spreading the rumor, but really, try it out. It helps people stay alive longer if they think his back is weak.

I always just get someone to lure all the little monsters away then i dagger him to death o.o, seems to make his health drop faster.
