As if anyone from the USA is going to import these straight from the producer or something. They're all shmups. High quality, I might add, and they're the best of any shmups that have been made. Ever (well, the genre did die off about 10 years ago, not a fair thing to say...). Also: Immaterial and Missing Power is a fighting game, not a shmup; and Shoot the Bullet and Phantasmagoria of Flower View have unique ways of playing the game. |

But as long they're legal globally (As in, no issues anywhere for any reason, like "giving someone a file to use the free trial of something is okay" kind of okay), then sure. It's okay. |

Nowadays, since he doesn't come here anymore, I'll be updating this list to suit my needs, hence the list has been dubbed "Version 2.0". Further updates will bump the version number up. Please tell me if any links are not working. Also if you have something to add, feel free to post about it! But search the post first (using Ctrl+F is handy) before suggesting something since it may be already posted. --- DosBox If you are having problems running old games on your new computer (especially ones that require DOS), use DosBox. http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/ Information on how to use it/mount games can be read here. --- Update List: (Remember to use Ctrl+F to search for new additions!) 2/28/06: Added XU4 under RPGs. 3/4/06: In process of updating the list, alphabetizing the games and adding new stuff. This time, I did the FPS section: removed TRIBES 2, and added Axion Quake, CodeRED: Alien Arena, Control Monger, Death Illustrated, and Digital Paintball. Removed Betrayal of Krondor since it's not legal to be downloaded. 5/23/06: Whoops, two months since last update. Re-did and updated the MMORPG section (i.e. removed dead links, changed some links, alphabetized the section and added DOFUS, Dogs of the Sea and Dungeon Stomp). Also color coordinated all the sections. Added games: Falcon's Eye, Colossus Pekka Kana 2, Blip & Blop: Balls of Steel, Stick Soldiers 2, and Little Fighter 2. Added games: Boppin'., Gate 88, Coldgearz, Bio Menace, Abuse, Abashera, Eternal Daughter, BVE, Chart Wars, Dance With Intensity, Simutrans, UniBall, and Vega Strike. 5/26/06: Version 2.1. Added Golf? to the Other section and Endless Online to the MMORPG list. Thanks Nigel. 5/27/06: Version 2.11. Remember to use Ctrl+F to get to these names quicker. --- Two Notes for MMORPGs: 1. Most MMORPGs that are "free" are usually in a beta stage. Sometimes when a MMORPG gets fully released, it'll shift to a pay to play formula. So if that happens, don't cry!  2. Don't suggest online games that force you to refer the game to other people, i.e. having people click on a link that refers your name. These games are against the forum rules. --- |
