| Gunzfactorian Commando | Scroll up a bit for mine Chunky. P4 2.40 is not that good nowadays, but, that graphics card does not belong in there. Edit: I've had mine for a while(if you notice, the clock resets itself to 2002 all the time lol). Faulty mobo battery I guess. A graphics card like mine is super cheap now. You can get much much much better for a very reasonable price. You will need a new system though if you want to run higher end games. | Gunzfactorian Commando | It depends on the motherboard. I wouldn't really put one in there though, there's only so much the graphics card can do before the processor and RAM start to hinder it. My computer can run Half-Life 2 believe it or not. It did get very slow at parts in the game, but, I am confident that it was my processor slowing me down. Edit: I think Dash said he has a lesser system that he runs COD4 on. Find out what he's got. Last edited by Admiral Awesome (115 votes); 07-03-2008 at 08:06 PM. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Call of Duty 4 Hardware Performance Guide - Features at GameSpot There's what gamespot says. They say a nice video card will do you good(which some good ones can still be cheap), but I still think that processor will probably slow you down too much. I'm just giving my opinion. I know there's always that small possibility I CAN be wrong, so, I'm trying to get as much back-up as possible, or find a few links if possible to further help you. | |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | good gfx card... I'll just assume you have AGP or something. I think the radeon x1950 pro is the best AGP card out. or you could be cheaper and go radeon x1650/geforce 7 series? those cards should meet tf2 requirements at low pretty easily. and for bad computers, before I bought my current one I ran one with 128 mb ram that was running xp (leaving me like 16 mb of ram lawl) and onboard graphics. couldn't even run gunz on sol config and my ping was like 200 to everyone. Don't spend your money trying to upgrade it...that's pointless. Save that money and invest in a new computer, or a porn magazine subscription... Upgrading a computer that's 8 years old is just a huge waste of money. | |
