Gamespots made up release dates say december 08. But since in productions of games with online capabilities there is always problems with networking and other things, there is no way it will be released then...unless they've decided to announce it when it's practically done.

I guess since my list is pretty lacking I"ll add on TF2...It's not anything crazy special but I still play it from time to time for some good old online action fps...something games have been lacking for quite sometime...realism isn't cool because why create a representation of real life...what's the point of imagination then? Every game dev and their mother are releasing some crappy clone-of-last-years-good-one realistic fps.

And I'd say I'm looking forward to Battlefeild Heros...maybe one other thing I'm not remembering...

Actually, from what I've read so far and what I've seen, SC2 is gonna be not that great IMO. They took out vultures, siege tanks look ugly, they took out the goliath for some half assed w/e the hell, protoss zealots are completely overpowered now, and apparently there's a unit in protoss immune to hire power attacks, therefore you need weak units to defeat an impenetrable defense? WTF! Also, with all the new fancy graphics, i imagine it will be hard to micro all those units. Finally, wtf is up with the mothership for protoss? That's just gay.

They're obviously doing all these things for a reason--to give the game balance and introduce something new and entertaining. I wouldn't be so quick to judge just based off of what you know. And we won't really know until the game comes out.

Everything is fine the way Starcraft is now, and yes, it would be entertaining, but I think some issues would arise with all the new units coming out and others going away. And yes, you are right, I should judge on what I know so far, but from so far, I dont like it.
HOWEVER, this is Blizzard, and they do make good games, and they regularly make more patches, so it should make a good game in the end.

Yeah, well I wasn't exactly looking forward to a Starcraft with better graphics. I want some changes for sure, so this is good news to me. I don't doubt that they're trying their best to create a good balance in the end. We'll see, though.
