| Gunzfactorian Soldier | 'Faith...' BSN repeated, in a hollow voice. 'I'm sure the people in Sunburg had faith. And now, here they are. Their faith leads them to nowhere. I honestly can't believe that faith could protect these people.' Meanwhile, in the tents near the guard outposts, one woman looked outside. She saw a figure standing in the falling darkness, clear enough to be recognized as a demon. She turned to one of the men in the tent. 'There's a demon outside.' She said softly, causing some of the men to turn their heads. 'Impossible.' One of them replied. 'There's no chance a single demon could survive a fight with the guards. 'Sides, they always come in packs, you know? I've never heard of a demon invading alone.' There was some nervous laughter, but the woman remained resolute. 'Well, believe what you wish. I'm warning everyone I can. Starting with that odd group of adventurers.' 'Oh, come on! As if a couple of adventurers could be stronger than our own guards!' But the comment did not reach the woman. She was already outside, running towards a fire near the first aid tent. Wixern saw the woman approach. She seemed in a hurry, and an odd yet familiar feeling rose in his stomach. The woman stopped, and spoke. 'There's a demon outside the gates! There's no guards, and I thought I heard screams. I'm no fighter, and since most of the soldiers are wounded, I was hoping you guys would come and deal with it.' BSN turned, her face a sudden map of concern. 'How does the demon look like?' She asked. 'I couldn't get a clear view, but I think he's the same size as humans. I could feel some sort of aura, however. It was as though he spread a form of pure hate or something, and he was holding some long kind of blade, or scythe. Please come help!' BSN looked at Wixern, and nodded. 'No worries, ma'am. We'll deal with it.' BSN said calmly, but a crack in her voice indicated her worry. Turning to Ailysa, Nathan and the others, BSN spoke again. 'It's Anjio. Ailysa, I don't think you should be fighting yet. Nathan, Sara, everyone, if you want to help, then please. I don't think we alone will be capable of stopping him if he decided to enter the camp. If not, then that's fine. Just make sure the people are save and warned.' The woman nodded as well, and set off to warn more survivors. BSN and Wixern ran off, heading towards the guard post, where Anjio was already waiting. |

I honestly can't believe that faith could protect these people.' "This is the first time I ever thought you where…" He paused looking for the right word"....misguided, BSN, without faith there can be no resolve.……" Nathan said his eyes closed in thought. Some of the others looked at him in shock. A women came over to the fire and warned them of a lone demon that had entered the camp. Nathan quickly gave out orders to his group. "Mosses, Blaine, and Chris stay here and protect the camp make sure he doesn’t get in here. Sara set up and I'll go with BSN and Wixern." They nodded and set to their given tasks. "He was resurrected?" Nathan asked BSN drawing his sword. "Such hate, such misery… I knew they where rivals….but this?" He said glancing at Wixern. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | 'I don't think resurrected is the right term.' BSN answered, as they made their way to the gates. 'Anjio came back from hell as a half-demon, but with greater strength than most regular demons. He's out for revenge on Wixern, but he'll take down anything in his path. That's how Ailysa got hurt. He was also in Sunburg, and I think he grabbed onto the chopper as we evacuated the city.' BSN explained. They reached the gate, now standing eye to eye with Anjio, who turned to face them, his eyes burning in the falling darkness. 'So, the little meatbags have gone and warned the big strong warriors.' Anjio mocked, licking his lips. 'And they've brought an angel, too. My, my, I feel honored. Unfortunately, of course, I'll have to kill you all.' Wixern stepped forwards, his revolver already pointed at Anjio. His face seemed stern and rigid, and he grimaced as he looked at Anjio. Anjio answered with a narrowed gaze, his eyes flaming as he watched his rival. 'You will be first. No more escapes for you. No more having others fight me, or running from me, or having me captured by weakling soldiers.' BSN looked surprised for a second, before remembering that Anjio always blamed everything on Wixern. Still, she couldn't recall anything about him being taken by soldiers. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Ailysa listened to BSN and Nathan's words. She felt uneasy at seeing BSN sound so pessimistic, but there was truth in her words. The odds were dispiritingly against them, but her assertion that they had a common enemy was false. How could she explain to them that the angels – the ones that were so often seen in the light of being pure and sanctimonious, were after her? That fighting against the demons would mean fighting alongside the angels, which would result in her downfall? “It’s Anjio,” BSN said. “Ailysa, I don't think you should be fighting yet. Nathan, Sara, everyone, if you want to help, then please. I don't think we alone will be capable of stopping him if he decided to enter the camp.” Ailysa nodded, rising from the log she was sitting on and watched as Nathan, BSN and Wixern sped off in the direction of the supposed demon. She thought for a second; who was Anjio? She disregarded the thought, knowing that he was one of many demons, but it was what BSN had said before that really struck her: “A real fight is winning, standing back to back with the one you trust, against unsurmountable odds. At least... that's what I've always believed.” But as she watched as everything happened around her with the pain of tire, Ailysa’s pang of loneliness swelled deep inside her with an unrelenting torture. She cold not fight alongside her own friends and assist to hinder their foe. She was a survivor; one of those that she had so fervently tried to defend. Was she so weak; even so weak to stop thinking about him? He had given her reason to go to the Machine Capital, even when told that they would all be martyrs. Her courage to stand up against Controls and send him to the depths of the world was sparked by his presence beside her. Ailysa could move on from her separation from Controls; time heals. But the Pistol Ninja’s disappearance had left a hole of confidence and reassurance in her. Why couldn’t she let go?! She had to concentrate on the ones she still had with her. There was still one friend; one special little feline that depended on her and she couldn’t imagine for anything to happen to him. Right now there was a demon on the loose and she had to be strong… despite how hard it is. “Bub!” she called, then furrowed her brow. “Bub?” She paused briefly for a second, thinking back to when he was last with her. But… that was when… “Bub!” she yelled, panic rising sharply. “BUB! Where are you?!!” |

The demon seemed to be lost in contemplation as the sky began to darken into night. The single moon in the far horizon was in its waning stages, casting almost everything in darkness. A cold and lifeless wind began to blow from the west. The machine rubbed the Ouroboros icon on his chestplate, which began pulsing a faint green in response. He remained standing, pulling up his cloak to mask his face from the wind. "How pointless", he said. "Third choices always lead back to one of the original two." Epsilon studied Kjal's expression with little result. His eyes narrowed in response. "Gehda is your destination, is it not?." -------------------------------- * COOL EDITION | |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | "You know Anjio, its not right to blame someone else for your own mistakes and weakness." Nathan said looking the "half" demon in the eye. "Not sure how you guessed I was an angel but your wrong, yet another mistake to add to your list." "After you fight Wixern assuming you survive, which I doubt, I'll fight you one on one no quarter asked and none given." Nathan said with a smile. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | "I could laugh at your passionate feelings. Can you express those in numeric sequence? You really are boring me with all your nonsense." "I was hoping to bore you. I prefer the term "lone wolf" to myself." "Gehda is your destination, is it not?" "Yes. It probably is. 'Cuz all I've been through, all the killing, all the deaths, all start there, I assume. Red-Storms...That machine-invasion...and probably this as well." Kjal shivered slightly. He liked the night, but cold winds were among the disadvantages...No matter how long you exposed Kjal in front of a HUGE campfire or in the hells, he will still shiver in a cold wind. It was a habit for his brain. The gem jerked with anger, glinted in the dying light, but soon subsided... Kjal looked at the armoured man. "What is your connection with Omega?" |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | 'Mistakes?' Anjio said, his gaze briefly shifting towards the annoying newcomer. 'My only mistake was to let this excuse for a warrior live. And that is a mistake I'll soon correct.' Anjio lowered his stance, his claw ready for a quick swipe if need be. 'But don't you worry. I'll slaughter the lot of you soon enough, and then we'll see who has made the mistakes.' Unannounced, Anjio leapt forwards, his claw raised over his head. Wixern was about to counter, when he was pushed aside. Anjio's claw struck a metal blade, and BSN's face was visible behind it. 'What-? BSN?' Anjio stepped back, surprised. 'No more, Anjio.' BSN said, still holding the sword in a defensive manner. 'You fight Wixern, you fight me. I'll send you back to Hell, where you belong.' 'I have lived in Hell since your "Husband" stole my rightful position.' Anjio hissed. 'Fine! I'd rather not have killed you, BSN. You were one of the few I could stand, one of the few strong warriors. But if you decide to help a murdering thief, then I'll not hesitate to kill you both! Taste my anger!' Anjio threw himself at BSN, unleashing a fury of slashes, punches and kicks. BSN blocked, and dodged aside, standing next to Wixern who then fired a shot at Anjio. Anjio tumbled aside, avoiding the bullet. 'You're welcome to help, Nathan. The sooner we kill this beast, the better.' BSN said. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | "Pathetic." Nathan said shaking his head and pulling his revolver, King of Spades. 'You're welcome to help, Nathan. The sooner we kill this beast, the better.' BSN said. "Gladly, although I thought it was a one on one fight." He fired two shots holstered his revolver and prepared to meet Anjio head on matching steal with steal if necessary. |

"When the son of God was struck down, Gehda was where he fell. His fall from grace resulted in a large amount of spiritual energy being released which flooded into the surrounding land. That is where the Gehda gems draw their powers from." A dark cloud passed by, temporarily obscuring the faint moonlight before passing away. The night wind was blowing stronger now and the houses below them creaked and moaned in response. "My connection with Omega... he is the one I must kill, or be killed. That is inevitable." The machine stood and cracked the knuckles on his hands. "My supply is low. I am heading to Gehda now; even most demons have difficulty seeing in the dark." | Gunzfactorian Guardian | Apparently, Kjal wasn't paying attention. "Right." His mind was only a bit less empty, but not by far. Standing up, he walked to the side of the roof, then turned back towards Gehda. "Well, I think I had enough talk. Let's move along, shall we?" Kjal took several long steps across the roof, and leapt. He reached a short tree, and landed on a springy branch, letting him down safely. From there, he started running again. The cold wind was too annoying for him. The sooner he gets to Gehda, the better off he is. And soon, the trees cleared up, and Gehda was in sight. The sun had fully set, and Axium was in darkness, except for the towns. Either shining with lamps, or burning with fire. Kjal stopped at the edge of the forest, and took a deep breath. Exhaling, then walked towards the ruins of the Red-Storm building. There was enough stone walls and floors to give cover. Kjal walked slowly, taking the sights into his head. From the looks of it, Gehda was absolutely empty... |

Epsilon slowed down behind Kjal, stopping and appraising the area around them. Targeting reticules and numbers lined his field of vision. So far the place looked empty, the only movements being the demon tentatively moving up towards the Red-Storm building. The machine narrowed his eyes. How easy it would be to just reach out and snap his neck while he was not looking. He refrained from doing so. The demon would serve as a secondary shield in case his own situation went awry. It was better to keep him alive, for the moment. As the shadow of the Red-Storm facility loomed over him the machine could not help but feel nostalgia the closer he got. His memories flashed back to his time here (he smiled at the irony of this), six years ago. Something suddenly sent a targeting circle spinning to the left and he twisted his head quickly in response, expecting to see a charging form appear from the night shadow. Nothing. Instinctively, he drew the Zankantou from hammerspace, remembering that Gehda was demon territory. "Hurry Demon", he coolly spoke. "Do whatever it is you're doing. We are in enemy territory." __________________________________ Lol, yes, meatshield is the reason that Epsilon has not attacked Kjal so far. | Gunzfactorian Guardian | "I'm not going to do anything. Just taking a breath of the past." Kjal ignored the anger, the tension and the fact that he was a front-line battalion of the army of two. Demon territory. Huh, he's never heard of this before. Why? A rift bomb that was under Gehda? Surprising if they'd manage to do so. "Enemy, eh? Could do with some sword practise, bastard." Kjal entered the hole in which Kjal had taken Ailysa into after she was shot, and Controls ran off. Wixern was here as well, though he once referred Wixern as "Mr. Wax". He soon found the broken stairs. He quietly wall-ran up, followed by a wall-flip, reaching the third floor with ease. As expected, the whole place was empty and looted. Kjal walked up the remaining stairs and soon reached the second-top most floor. Not willing to brace the wind yet, he looked through the windows on the floor. One side had the Gehda Mountain in front it. "Hmm. The mines..." The last time they tried to enter, Genocide appeared... Kjal took time to consider this, ignoring whatever Epsilon has plans for him. Geez, bait for a maniac. A villain that makes deals with Hell does not need lackeys. If he couldn't defend himself in the first place, he would've been overrun soon enough. Finally, he let the voices in his head speak... Damnit, Kjal, get over it! You have other problems than us hiding things from you! "Well, I'll consider that, certainly." Geez, even as a demon myself, I can't take this kind of irony. ... |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | The Elite Demon sat by the grotto, concealed somewhere atop the Gehda mountain. He had appreciated his new position, fully exploiting it to sit lazily under the hot sun during the day. Now, as the cold night conquered the day, its pale crescent moon rising up as a sign of victory, the Elite Demon shrunk under the covers of a hanging rock near the grotto’s entrance to escape the wind. While he was chosen to replace Eirag during his absence, the Demon’s eyes – while almost as clear and astute, could not see as well as the Elf in the darkness. As he struggled to watch over the boundaries of the Gehda region, he did not notice two bodies running through a break in the trees towards the old Red-Storm building. Nonetheless, a handful of demons were prowling across the span of the Anarchist vestige. A demon skulked behind a sizeable cage, which was littered with bones at its base, including remnants of two skeletons from what may have been a pair of bears. The demon raised its Nico through the bars and moved its muzzle silently in the direction of the Machine. Suddenly, the machine's head twisted around to peer in the demon’s direction. The rifle was instantly lowered and the demon pressed his back against one of the cage’s thick bars, breathing heavily. From a staircase underneath a broken sign which read: “Armoury,” a trio of demons swaggered up into open air, under a load of two machine guns and a sawed-off shotgun. They emerged just in time to hear the running footsteps of a figure, as he jumped to a higher floor and before them, they captured the sight of a mixture of flesh and metal. Needing no questions to ask, the two demons stopped in their tracks to lift the machine guns to their waist while the third one stood behind the others, while grabbing his newly obtained sawed-off shotgun and tried to fiddle with the mechanics. The Elite Demon jolted as he heard a cacophony of gunshots, before he quickly saw numerous flashes of gunfire situated at the Red-Storm building. The Elite Demon jumped to his feet, turned around and ducked into the short, narrow tunnel which led to the grotto. He hurriedly pushed the cupboard aside, before rushing down the stairs which led to Burning Hell. __________________________ Forgot about the demons who had looted the Armoury, have we? Expect some demons to come running out of the Gehda mine entrance in the direction of the Red-Storm building, after giving the Elite Demon some time to spread the word. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Oh snap, Ailysa! ____________________________________ Epsilon immediately brought his Zankantou to bear, using its massive size to temporarily shield himself from the bullets. He could hear high-speed projectiles ricocheting off the hardened machine-gel and impacting into the ground elsewhere. Without hesitation the machine flicked the collossal blade into the air and spun it downwards, catching one of the demons by surprise and leaving a deep cut on its chest. It screeched in pain before disappearing further behind its comrades, firing a shotgun from between their bodies. "Insects!" The machine growled. A bullet sped past and cut into the metal on his forearm, leaving a small dent from where it had collided. He spun back behind a corner to avoid the constant hail of gunfire. Based on the noise level, if they did not leave soon more demons would show up and box them in. They had to leave fast. Epsilon waited, wanting to see what the demon he had followed would do. |
