| Gunzfactorian Hero | Kyle watched the angel ascend into a light, then disappear. "A pleasure working with you" Kyle said to himself as he looked up at the sky. Kyle pondered about the events. Did Primus call her back because of the destination? he thought lightly as he reached into his pocket to extract a small stone. I guess he wouldn't want an angel doing this work I suppose. Kyle crushed the stone between his fingers, and he was gone. Leaving only the carnage he and the angel made of the now dying forest. |

Artrix was pointing his Luxes at the picture. It seemed calm now, but anything could happen. "What do I do now?"

| Gunzfactorian Commando | The Knights moved in quick succession, one of their numbers pelting the revived dead with their sacred firearms, the gleam of their silver armor reflecting the miniscule light given off by the dying embers around them. The targeting optics on Leader-1 blipped erratically and he shifted to a different vision, revealing a heat signature hidden within the next alley. He stopped, raising his hand so that the rest of the group would do the same. They stopped behind their leader, the soft clank of their armor falling into a deathly silence. They slowly and deliberately inched towards the derelict alleyway, keeping their rifles at eye level. ~*~ Quote:
"I learned a little about possession during my trip in Axium. What we need to-- what I think we need to do, is purify the painting and excorcise the bastard. Then we can flush it back to hell with conventional means." Omega notioned towards the Luxes. "We'll split up. If you can, find some candles, or anything like that we can keep a fire going on. And some water too, if you can get it." The painting began stirring again, but nothing emerged from its depths. Omega turned his back to it while still facing Artrix. He had a hunch that each of them were as exhausted as the other. "We'll meet back here in 10 minutes."

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | James felt something. He felt something coming. He felt that at something was not anyone friendly. So, he did what normal people would do. He ran. He ran straight up against the wall, adrenaline pumping through his veins, his speed picking up faster. As reached the end of the alley wall he jumped into the main street and simultaneously grabbing for something, anything that would help him swing up to the roof of the building. Unfortunately, there was no street sign available so he had to land, turn around and actually speak to this entity he sensed. The landing part was easy, the turning around was also easy, but when he saw the insignia of the Iron Knights his heart caught up in his throat. When he saw that they were holding rifles at his face, he almost faltered. "Eheheh" James laughed weakly. "Hello! Umm, are you guys survivors too?" James was slowly reaching for his favorite shotguns... _________________________________________________ That's how clumsy i am! |

Artrix walked briskly away. He still had some water left with him, but he wasn't sure if it was enough. Still, some is better than none. Candles. He looked inside a room. Wooden chairs, a bed, a mirror, and a table with drawers. Artrix opened each drawer but found nothing of interest. Pens, paper, a knife, some other sharp objects. Artrix searched a few more rooms. One of them happened to be a kitchen. Artrix took an empty container and filled it with water. He searched through all the cupboards and drawers and found three short candles, some wooden sticks and another knife. Whats with this place and knives... Artrix thought to himself. He took the candles and went back to the painting. 10 minutes was almost up.

![]() ![]() ![]() | It was that familar feeling again. The feeling comes from the very pit of your stomach and rises to the upper body. Matthias hated it. Matthias welcomed it. The feeling was surreal. For a moment his body was bleeding blood and gore before dizzling light began covering his wounds. Matthias was breathless. He fell as if every single cell in his body had rejoined with each other. The pain was numbing quickly, thank god it was. Nothing in the world can make you feel more alive than almost dying. But then again, Matthias couldn't die, at less not with these simple wounds he could not. Any wound not above the head would cause him no harm. Thanks to that, Matthias has lived on for several centuries. It was his curse to bear. Slowly Matthias rose. The pain was still there, but the wounds were not. To a regular human these wounds would be crippling. But for Matthias, who had lived with these wounds for all his life, learned to ignore them. The sky was darker now. The blue clouds the dotted the sky were beginning to vanish. He must have been out for several minutes. During the time, he was indeed, clinically dead. Matthias would stop breathing and his heart would stop. However like always, he would be reborned, like a phoenix from it's ashes. "They always fall for it." Matthias said. His plan had indeed worked. For decades it never failed him. There were a couple of close calls, one in particular wanted to claim his head as a trophy after he "honorably stained" him in a grueling duel. His surroundings were still the same, the Great Teacher was still where "he" was, planted to the ground. A couple of feet away, was the wounded woman, being carefully dragged away by her animal companion. Matthias rushed over. Last edited by God-Splitter; 05-11-2008 at 10:57 AM. |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | Kyle had been walking for quite some time since the forest. Traces of a demonic energy still laid loosely over the field, though it was faint. Whatever was there, had only passed through less than two or three days ago. The evidence that something had come through laid back in a stream, where several demons laid decapitated. Kyle had pulled them out, setting fire to the corpses. It was a mystery as to why they seemed to be lined up, but Kyle soon dismissed the thought as a large ruin came in front of him. What's this? |

He spilled a little water at the base of each of the candles, leaving the container with three-quarters what it was before, before planting them on the floor in the sign of the holy trinity. Taking the book, he handed it over to Artrix. In the most hushed whisper he could make, Omega instructed Artrix to begin, opening the book to a numberless page and pointing to a small paragraph at the center of it. "Start here.... Eravici Tetrys Grammaton Soph Aur Ahser Emet ... and go until the bottom. That'll bind it to the material world. " ~*~ The Knights kept their weapons trained on him, silent and unresponding to his comments. One of them broke rank and strode foward, the captain, in a way that suggested casualness. He raised a hand and the Knights dropped their rifles, apprehensively letting the butt slide off their shoulders. "We are the Iron Knights contingent of the Maxwell Corporation." The captain had a hollow, but resonantly deep voice from speaking through his helmet. " Rescuing survivors are our second, but vital, priority. If you wish, you may accompany us to Sunburg." As he spoke, a hellspawn broke the pale light of the sky with its massive figure. Before the knights could react, its armored body descended into their rank.

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Real friendly controls, i like it. Thank you for not killing me. ![]() __________________________________________ James' hand stopped. Whaaaat? They didn't want to kill him! This is sweet! I swear I'll never be in debt again... Relaxing at the mention of Sunburg, a bright little city, hence the name, James was relieved to find that they were looking for survivors. Still, I better be careful around these guys. But as soon as he started walking towards his newly made "friends", a colossal demon shadowed the street. Its enormous body swayed and went ahead to drop its limbs onto the Knight ranks. James immediately backed off, thinking it was just too much to kill a demon that size. Then again, these guys seem like professionals, with their help, i can bring this bastard down... The idea sprung up in a moment of cheesy heroic feelings and passed instantly. At that instant James saw his reputation being greatly heightened if he boasted about killing a hellspawn and it turned out to be true. Weighing his options in a half second, James decided. Pulling out his favorite Akaniel and Aksariel, James fired two acidic rounds right between the demon's eyes. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | "I don’t care what your gear says. He is a valuable part of the plan to protect this city." Capt Contego said with god like authority in his voice. The Iron Knights instantly snapped to regulation attention. A reaction drilled into them from years of service. "Now! This subject is not to be brought up again." Barked Contego. "Is that clear!" "Sir, yes SIR!" The knights answered. "Dismissed!" He said and watched as the knights fled the scene, all saluting before leavening the "command center" which was actually a very large tent. Contego sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. One of the adventures he had talked to was a demon? Probably the boy called Nathan. He got a strange feeling when he was around him. The boy carried himself like an old school swordsmen, which is strange for people in these days and age. The Lieutenant Colonel stepped into his fabricated office. "Sir!" she snapped off a precision salute. "At ease," Contego said and returned her salute. "Report." She stood at parade rest and made a detailed report on the situation of the city. "Everything is going as planned for now sir, the citizens are not questioning are authority and they believe the cover story." "Pfft, Terrorist." Contego thought with contempt. It was all to easy to fool the blind. "Sir there's one more thing. It concerns the "other mission". " She said not looking the Captain in the eye. "That issue is not to be brought up until the mission of protecting this city is completed!" Contego barked. "Sir! Yes sir!" the Lieutenant Colonel said and straightened. "Now, have they arrived?" Contego asked and looked the L.T in the eye. "Sir the package has arrived and is in storage as ordered." She answered. "Good, now grab some water and meet in the assembly area. The briefing starts in fifteen minutes." "Dismissed." The Captain said and saluted. "Sir!" she returned the salute turned at the heel and left the office. The Captain sat at his desk and sighed. "Today is going to be even worse than I had originally thought." He whispered again pinching the bridge of his nose. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nathan and Sara walked to BSN and Wixern's room and knocked on the door. "You two ready?" Sara asked. "We only have about ten minutes until the meeting. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Bub looked up as the newcomer darted towards them. He bared his teeth at the man, then seeing that he was there to help, the Nightsaber moved aside and allowed the man to pass. Bub watched with apprehension as the newcomer bent towards his master, friend and only family. Ailysa’s face was dangerously pale, a pallid shade of lavender in contrast to the radiance of her once mauve skin. She shivered uncontrollably and moaned as another assault of disequilibrium in her body set loose a round of sick onto the grass beside her. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Anyone else feeling GzF lag a little? ______________________________________ Omega nodded his head, "That's right. Keep going, we're almost there." Artrix continued chanting with the methodical air of an expert. Slowly, a black mist seeped out of the now still portrait, fouling the air with an ancient and decadent stench that forced the two to cover their noses. Ghostly red eyes, perfectly round and filled with a hollow feeling of despair, emerged from within the blackness to stare at them. "Tetrys E'met Yug-suggoth bor'kan rha..." The hallway seemed to shudder as Omega proceeded with the purifying ritual that would bind the demon to the material world, the exorcism having been completed flawlessly. Slowly but surely, the foggy wisp began to solidify and take on a more definite form. It expanded until its black, shining head nearly reached the ceiling and chitinous armor grew from its flesh. The demon, now fully materialized, gave a roar of defiance and swung its scrunched-up fists. "Now!" Omega vigorously yelled, opening fire with his revolver. ~*~ The hellspawn shrieked in agony, the stranger's specialized bullets unleashing their deadly cargo from deep underneath its toughened skin. The Iron Knights regrouped at the mouth of the alleyway, leaving behind the fallen two of their own like they would their trash. They aimed and fired at the demon's back, their Executioner rifles disgorging a firework display of flashing blue and puncturing the weakened shell of the hellspawn in unison. It howled before collapsing on the ground, outstretched hands still swinging, before it sputtered one last time and collapsed on the ground. The Iron Knights approached the massive corpse with indifference, one of them putting a last round through the head, while the others marched foward to confront Sarcor. "Will you come with us?" The captain asked, easily and formally, as if nothing had just happened. |
