Excuse me for my Filipino countrymates. Online gaming is booming in the Philippines. Plenty of people, even the poor ones (who usually play in internet cafes, 1 Philippine Peso = 1 US Dollar, an hour in a cafe would cost around 20-50 pesos, which means the poor can play) play and most of the poor people have very bad English. Luckily I'm in the middle class and I speak English fluently. Let me give you the meanings of those pinoy terms you often see in iGunz.

PASOK = This means "enter"

SAWSAW = Not really a Filipino word but is commonly used by the Filipino online gaming community. If they say your a sawsaw, then that means they accuse you of KILL-STEALING or attempting to kill-steal.

ASA = This is something a bit offensive. If they say "asa" to you, they are trying to say "keep dreaming *****er" or "no match" but they still say this even if they lose, they are just "pikon" which means "sore loser".

GAGO/ULOL/POTA/POTANG INA MO = Bad words in Filipino. "Gago" can be equated to assh*le. "Ulol" means fool. Pota means prostitute. If someone says "Potang Ina Mo" to you, that means he's saying that your mom is a prostitute.
*Some ignorant Filipinos mistake LOL with "ulol" so they get offended and they curse back.

BTW, proximity between two people can really give a lag issue. K-stylers are too high maintenance, they demand that people over 100 ping should be kicked cause they cant damage them. I can only tolerate people with up to 200 ping only, anything higher than that I'll have them kicked.

I wish they just put censors on Filipino bad words and stuff like that in iGunz. I dont want Gunz being localized. It might be like what happened to Gunbound. Softnyx noticed that a good portion of the Gunbound International was being occupied by Filipinos, so they had the game localized and when it did, plenty of poor people (commonly know as "squaters" in the Philippines) played Gunbound since it was free to play and since most of the poor people were uneducated, cursing and rivalry went rampant and soon plenty of people didn't want to play anymore.

BTW, may I know the connection speeds of people here? I'm using a 512 kbps ADSL connection. The 1+ mbps is too expensive.

Umm, I dont want you people saying bad words but at least I'll tell you how to pronounce "ulol" and "pota".

Ulol - start by saying "ooh" then immediately followed by "lol", not L-O-L, not per letter, just by pronouncing the term "lol".

Pota - Start by pronouncing the "PO" in words like poise and potential. Then follow it with the "TA" like in the word, tangy. Its just like
"POTA" in potassium.
