I just cant wall cancel ; ;

Ok, so this is coming from someone who has played the game for a few months now, and really likes it. I just got it back after my computer crashed and decided to instead of go around spraying everything that moves, Im going to learn some of the sword skills. It took me a while, and I can butterfly pretty decently now, but I just cant wall cancel for the life of me. I know, you jump at the wall slash then dash (or dash then slash, i dont remember at the moment ><) , (lather rinse and repeat), but this just doesnt work for me. All it seems to do is slow my falling down the side of the wall. Ive tried it faster, and Ive tried it slower, but it just doesnt work. Any help for this sword-learning newbie will be greatly appreciated

Your problem might be that, it's not JUST slash, but it's jump and slash nearly simultaneously.

Jump, Dash at the wall, Jump off the wall then slash and repeat.

Uhh if you're still having problems, I'd gladly help you while ingame...

better solution... is go into a wall and jump... when u r close to the wall use this

jump-slash-dash *repeat*

remember that the jump slash is instantanious...

I dont get why people say jump-slash-dash
Arnt you supposed to walk to wall, jump on wall, slash then jump so ur canceled and THEN dash cause ur getting farther from wall? Anyway, i just do it differently from others but this is how i started out like a month ago after i decided to get some SS skills :P

Take it one step at a time. Try running and jumping at the wall so you flip off first. Then try slashing as you flip off. Then add in the dash. The slash cancels the flipping animation and lets you dash back towards the wall so you can jump off it again. Make sure you're more or less looking straight on at the wall. Once you get the rhythm, you can repeat jump->slash->dash to gain altitude. Then I challenge you to wall climb sideways and backwards. XD

Man, I remember jumping and slashing and dashing when I was learning how to wall climb in town and getting nowhere. ><

You don't have to do the Jump and Slash simultaneously, but it does help you go a lot faster.

Wall Cancel, that just takes a little bit of patience to learn. Start off doing it slowly until you get the hang of it. If you really can't do it. Look at some of the guides on this website, they helped me out alot.

no its jump-dash-slash >.>
dont try jump+slash simutaneously(If ever, forgive me for my wrong spelling).coz it just lead u back down. It was a pain at first, my fingers were all over my keyboard but now, its nothing really. quick switch ftw.

No it dosent. Its slash+jump simutaneously. Difference is you slice so fast that (it happens first) it seems like you're flipping off the wall when you've allready canceled.
