Official Gladiator Ladder Petition!

Well, what are your thoughts?

I'm a blade fiend, mainly because of my crappy leading and aiming skills, and having an official Gladiator ladder would give me a chance to get really far ahead (and if you want to say anything to the contrary, SwordsRule, I'm ready and waiting. I will best you!).

If the current ladder accomodates for pure melee matches, then I'm quite happy (as in TGMs, not melee TDMs).

why wont u just ask cit and narc to decide if a tgm mode can count on the official >_>

Because there's no hope in hell Cit would listen to me, or listen to Narc if he/she knew that Narc was speaking for me.

The gladiator ladder sounds like a good idea, but I won't participate since "I'm a noob who hides behind my godless firepower." Which is disturbingly accurate. Probably because I can own Gul with Guns, yet he owns me with swords.

Stupid swords..I want mine to have a shotgun in-built.

ever since i've gotton good at butterfly and practiced at swords a bit, i've found i can kick many good tdm'ers ass if they're inexperienced at swords. the people who kill me are the good turtleres, who know all those weird slash moves and flip you when you don't think anyone could.

We understand this recursive, but since 99%, if not all people on the regular ladder most likely wll not play gladiator, a Gladiator-only ladder would be a good addition in my opinion. We could clearly separate deathmatch and gladiator ladder matches. If, as you stated, that ladder can be under gladiator, then hypothetically some matches in the ladder would be a blend of guns and swords (highly doubtful), and we would not be able to tell who is the best deathmatch player. Anyways, we'd have to see how many people we could round up to see if it is worth starting a gladiator ladder.

If anyone would like to use only swords, simply state that you'd like to do so with your opponent ahead of time and list it on the normal ladder.

Also, we certainly will be having paid (money $$$) competitions when the site gets big enough. Right now we use yahoo (better than google) which pays per click and eventually we'll switch to a better advertiser once our traffic gets up there. When we make enough money to get some real prizes, we'll start it. I expect that traffic will become large enough after gunz goes gold.
