HS can also be used to again, hide behind things, to shoot in the air then take cover behind a wall. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() | In a way, SS is like a halfstep cause you basically do slashshot in it. But at the same time, it's different cause it seems to shoot faster(from how I see it). And supporting recursives statements: You can shoot from behind a wall without being detected as easily as if you were to roll out. You pretty much halfstep out and shoot, then get back behind the wall. If you were to slashshot/roll out, you will most likely be detected(Faster at least). |

![]() | Here's a more detailed post now that I am home.. Slash-shot is a core more and should and will not (Trust me, once you know half step, using slashshot is like using a Nico r5 over a maxwell lx44) So basically, what I am saying is that Slash-Shot is outdated, and people should start to take up and learn to adapt with the Half Step. The half step is better because it lowers your probability of your next move being generally predicted (This meaning you aren't blocked in any direction, and are not receiving resistance from any direction) to 1/16, instead of the Slashshot's 1/4. Why would you need to predict where someone is going? Shot leading. Shooting at targets upon descent. Easiest way to hit people is to get them where their dash is going to end. This means you want to be as unpredictable as you can, which the half-step gives you. Also, the half-step has a GREAT RANGE of movement over the slashshot. The slashshot moves like a King, in chess, whereas the halfstep acts as more of the knight piece. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Hmm, nice pic there. Gives me something new to think about ^^ Anyway, for Half step, when you dash the second time, it should be AFTER you hit change weapon and dash(2nd) in the middle of the sword chance to weapon right? So it looks like you're dashing with a sword? Just trying to clear this up for myself as I usually don't see people halfstepping slow enough for me to notice the dash on weapon change. |
