Maybe it's a mental thing, I don't know. But there's one thing that keeps bothering me and I just want a confirmation from the community. The Devil Slayer has the shortest reach of all non-premium swords right? I can't instafall as well with Devil Slayer as I could with other non-prem swords. If it's true, then boo for Maiet. It would also mean I can't slash as far... and sword can be essential at times for me.

I've been thinking so long if I wanted to get a Ring of Emperor or not, but I'd rather have +5 hp/ap and sacrifice 2 dmg than have +5 ap and -5 hp or ap with extra added weight that I don't even need. $5.50 for that ring, I could buy something else worth spending on than that. ahhhhhhhhh

You actually have the sword, right? Why don't you just attempt to slash people with the tip of your blade? Then switch swords and see if it seems different.

Already tried that, I want to see how many people actually think/know if this is really true. Then again, like I said, it might just be a mental thing like how some people think that female characters are faster than males at K Style.

It SHOULD be the same. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Imo it should have the same range... why would they make it different?

I also have doubts about other hidden stats weapons have. Or if they even exist. Is there any "reader" that can open gunz data files?
Or maybe the melee range is hardcoded into the game, but that would imply all having the same range, at least within class.

I know how you feel. I use to instafall 100%, hell i can do any combo that involves instafall. But since the new patcher on me female im like 2/10 for instafall with my Dark Karma. With my male i can do it like 6/10 with Yong Wol Rang... WTH happened?!?

All non-prem swords have the same exact range, even though their models may or may not reach where the range is(Devil Slayer's model is shorter than the range)

lots of people use devil slayer, just suck-it-up and use it. get used to not having the uber long reach of the golden noobstick

This is straight from zitem.xml. The range on all non-prem swords = 220.
