This is the place where I am going to compile my ideas on making Gunz better. I will update this thread with all sorts of ideas and explanations on how we can make the Gunz world better. I check this thread at least 10 times a day so feel free to post your input or questions. If you would like me to expand on a point just let me know and I'll update my post. I want to make it known right now that I am not looking to be recruited by Maiet or anything of that sort, I am merely trying to see what you all think of my ideas.If you like them then please by all means +rep me if you are feeling generous! | Member | Maps: Let's face it, without maps, there is no Gunz. That's so blatenly obvious it's not even funny. But what happens when you get sick and tired of the small maps with such low invisible ceilings? You want a new one. Here are my ideas on new maps and concepts for designing new maps. All the maps in Gunz are great, and some of the concepts Maiet have come up with as maps are so much fun to play! But sometimes we want a new map. You've all thought about it and here are my thoughts. Larger Map(s): "Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up? In the morning when the day is new?" - Lawl at Beach Boys. But wouldn't it be nice to have a huge map the size of a small town? Think about it! Al lsorts of online games have huge worlds to explore so why doesn't Gunz? I think we should have a huge map, maybe even more than one. This may seem weird if your doing a duel match on it which is why this map would be suited better for a new mode of gameplay, see post 5 for more on new modes. Map Concepts: Map Ideas: - A more modern Tournament Arena with a crowd around it - A large battleground similar to the ground just outside Mordor from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, a large dirt area with rocks around it as cover. | Member | Styles: If you've ever played a game like Star Wars: Jedi Knight or any other freely customizable game, you know that creating your own style in a game is just one for thing that makes the game worth playing, it makes the game personal. Jumping: So far I have thought of 3 styles of jumping. 1) The "Spidey" Jump [ Picture Coming Soon ] If you have ever played Spiderman 2, you know what this jump is. Basically this jump is consisted of a small bending down before jumping up. When you are in the air your legs are tucked up slightly and the arms are sort of outstretched in a curved way. Pro's: - This jump has evenly balanced speed, height, and bend down speed. Con's: - Slower than Torpedo Jump but faster than Heroic Jump 2) The Torpedo Jump [ Picture Coming Soon ] This jump consists of a small bending down, much like the first jump but a little less bending. After the bending you will jump into the air with a torpedo like pose with legs together, and arms at your sides until yo ureach the apex of your jump, this is wear you will place your legs and arms a bit apart for the landing. Pro's: - This jump goes faster while still maintaining the same height. Con's: - This jump takes a long bend down, therefore takes longer to actually start the jump. 3) The Heroic Jump [ Picture Coming Soon ] This jump is more heroic, and leaves the enemy laughing at how much you look like a pansy with this jump. This jump has the same wind up/bend down as the Torpedo Jump but after the launch your character has one hand with a fist in front of his/her chest, with one leg pulled up. Pro's: - This style of jump has a slightly higher jump. - Wind up speed is moderate. Con's: - Not as fast as the other two jumps. - You look like an idiot. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think story mode is a good idea, has talk about "empire's" in the description of some of the premies, for example, grey dust, "Woman's gray dust set which is worn by the elite troops of the empire." Wouldn't it be kewl to fight them ? |
