Modesty -test of self control

This is pretty hard to do.

Pretend you're a noob. Go into a game and don't use any styles. Just get a renard or something and spray. Or use any other weapon without any style usage.


Find ways to gun down enemies who are clearly superior to what you limited yourself with.

In all probability, you're going to have your ass handed to you. The trick is, you can't revert back to your previous style. You have to keep on pretending you're an amatuer. Let it go on till you find ways to cope.

I'm just thinking how most people can't do this. They wouldn't want to release the grasp of power they have. I want to just suggest a test of self control. Or maybe something else to break the monotony.

It might sound like a stupid idea, but this community definitely needs more modesty.

I've done this before. It's actually quite good for your aim. Try doing it with your main guns too. You'll get better with them.

It is isn't it? People often told me that my aim was better than what my style suggested while doing this.

Well, aim isn't governed by style. I've seen E-Styles with aim so good it got annoying. (I mean... To the point where you wonder why you're even trying to dodge that person's bullets...) I've seen K-Stylers that hit almost every shot.

What you suggest is a good training method for anyone, since it requires you to think less about crazy combos and more about aiming.

I actually can't do it right now, but that's because I have a pure melee character. (No guns... I go into deathmatches and team deathmatches, though. Gladiator is no fun because it puts everyone on the same level as me. I want to be at a disadvantage and make up for it with sword skills.)

I agree. But what I was driving for was for someone to stop depending on what they usually do and struggle from there. I just think from struggle comes innovation. Scrapping what you did before and see where you can improve.

Both Modesty and innovation is pretty much missing from the community

...You still can be modest while having a grasp of your current skill level. I wouldn't do this at all, not because I'm not modest, or that I don't have self control, it's that I find it boring and dull not trying to play the way I want.

I usually go play with a lvl 15 male and use dagger for kicks :P Quite fun actually. Altough i use D-Style =\

Most people on Gunz are too bothered about their Kill / Death ratio and will dismiss this idea completely. Modesty is a problem within Gunz but I don't like being told how to play.
