| Gunzfactorian Soldier | looks like a photoshop edit to me, hurray for blurred edges. and he obviously had trouble cutting out the daggers lol. and another thing, he made a map exporter for gunz, so ok youve got them exported, how are you going to import a cs map without an importer? plus, how can you import totally different files into gunz? would be funny if its true but its bull**** until he records a video |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | Would be good if it was real, but to make a Gunz map you need to do more than just import a map and textures. You would need to create collision data and the way that works is different to cs maps. If it was true then they guy should protect his mrs then release it for people to test on private servers. Not like we would learn how he did it from a compiled/protected mrs. So until then I call fake. EDIT: Looking at the screen shot closely you can tell its a photoshop, badly cut and blurry edges. Sorry Spanklord I wanted it to be real too. EDIT EDIT: The gunz engine doesn't look like that either, the fog/shadows are clearly not rendered using the Gunz client. | Gunzfactorian Hero | i agree with zeph. the first thing i looked at was the shadow. thats rather obviously a pasted character. if the guy actualy DID crack the maps, then yippee, thats great news, and mayby ijji will accept custom maps. |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | I doubt anyone *else* has done any truely custom maps. The mention of a "3dstudio max exporter", is mostlikely quoted from a conversation where i mentioned some materials in gunz are named in 3dstudio default convention. So that leads to another question, have i done custom maps? Well, yeah, i have decoded most of the map structure. Next step is writing a proper bsp compiler, not that complicated, i could borrow one from quake and modify it. |
