![]() | Shin, what's always worked for me when training my aiming capabilities was to practice shooting at lightposts in town, while rapidly moving around. Battle Arena objects work as well, as long as you're moving constantly. |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | - concentrate - learn to move your crosshair, not your arm. If you concentrate well enough and focus on shooting the target, your crosshair will amost magically appear over the enemy. -If you can click links in firefox and the X on the corner of the screen to close a window without missing.....aiming is no different. Think of your crosshair as a mouse and just put it over the enemy...then click. -Visualize yourself getting a 100% accuracy rate and let your crosshair do the rest. -Do what blah does. Go to town and randomly move around while shooting the white part of the lamp with revolvers. Or find some other object/mark to aim at. -use revolvers for a week or two and switch to shotguns. |

![]() | Something no one else has mentioned. Deep breath Practicing shooting a post and a person that can fire back are two different things. It is easy to get flustered when the lead starts flying. Take a deep breath whenever you find yourself getting to worked up to aim properly. Wild Bill was one of the most feared gunmen of the Old West because he could stand still and calmly shoot down an opponent as lead was flying around him. I think it was Wild Bill anyway.. not that it matters. The lesson is what is important! |

No one can aim with 100% accuracy without practice. And yeah, knowing your enemy will help you aim too. Practice makes you a master (and tired). I think the best way to train your aim is to practice with a friend. You'll aim and the friend will move, nothing else. Of course, later on he can fight back more, but this is a great way to know your enemy and how they can move. Just get your friends who k/d/or e-style and practice with them. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | AIM. Point and shoot. Your targets are 2 hitboxes. Check the main page about them. Configure your mouse to and settings so that pointing is as accurate as possible. Practice your shoot reaction time on websites with reaction time testers. Also partially depress the mouse at all times when sweeping. (scopeless scoping. Yes its a CS term. go eat fecees). DON"T practice aiming with the general gunz community. GunZ's fecal matter encrusted netcode will eventually drive you insane and possibly impede your basic aim. Unless you know a way you can play people under a 40 ping you're better off playing a game with a client side kill register. examples include Battlefield 42, BF2, COD(2), DOD, Unreal Tournament (1999 2003) Zero Ping (tm) Instagib, Counter Strike (source), UT Comp Enhanced Netcode for UT2004. Quake 4 Single player and other single player FPS with insta impact weapons. Or you can just screw weapons like rifle, dual revs, and single SMG all together and spam the hell out of people with shotties dual SMGs machine gun and rocket launcher. and not have to worry about aiming ahead (for pings of 200 and under). |
