Default would it be a good idea for bullets to travel at set speeds?

I think it would be COOL.

Imagine being able to dodge bullets...

Basically, the bullets will travel at set speeds (very high speeds) but they are not instant hit. Currently, every event is already processed when you press the left mouse button. This is because bullets are instant hit.

So would you like the idea of bullets traveling like rockets, except much much faster??? (would be even cooler if they had bullet trails which ripple through the air :P)

This would so TOTALLY bring across the matrix element.

I hate the fact that once the person aims and clicks at you, you will 100% take damage. Not fun. Would be so cool if you could dash and avoid a pb.

Anyone likes the idea?

Nice idea, but it's not going to work.

And the bullet trails would make the system reqs go up, a lot.

What the awesome pikachu moderator said(coolest mod ever..).

The idea is OMGWTFBBQ awesome, but it isn't all that practical. Also, it would make lag shooting even harder than it already is. The only reason rockets work well against lag is the splash damage. Bullets you can see coming AND lag to contend with? Good luck with that..

If the world were perfect where lag didn't exist and everybody had a killer system(one person I know said he plays on a fairly basic laptop) then sure.

edit: Hmm.. what style of play does a pikachu mod use?

Lol @ Cats post. Pikachu mod ftw lolz. It would be nice, but then you would have to get way up close to hit them, unless you just sprayed so they couldn't dodge all of the bullets. Dodging rockets are fun, but dodging shots altogether just wouldn't quite work.

I always thought that they do travel at set speeds.

It's just so fast that you really can't notice it.

I think I seen light trails of bullets. Think I'll test it.

We want faster bullets. Less leading.

Meh, I've always had my doubts about whether they were insta-hit or not.

In large DM mansion games, I usually see bullet trails from another person's gun.

Bullets that travel backwards trough time might be a better idea with this lag.

Good idea, if gunz didnt have the sort of lag it's famous (or is that infamous) for.

Slowing the bullets down would make it all but impossible to hit someone over 100 ping or so.

Even lower ping in the area of 60 ~70 would probably become problematic.
