How long did it take you?

I've only played gunz for roughly 6 hours as my PC isn't currently working although I was curious, how long did it take you to get the hang of gunz?

On every game I join it is always confusing and difficult, and then weeks to months later I look back on my first experiences of the game and laugh about how n00b I was to begin with.

I understand some people probably never get the full hang of movement, some being instantly pro while others remain quite average. I just thought it would be interesting to hear others personal opinions.

I'm quite sure I'll be flamed by idiotic forum trolls for such a thread I just thought it would be an interesting read.

Okay then.

When I started to play, everyone was a newb.

Get used to dashing and the way your character moves. Don't be afraid of getting close but remember to stay away from people's line of fire.

Jump, dash and slash is all you really need to function as a new person. You can learn from there.

I started playing about a year and a half ago. I still haven't gotten the hang of this game.

I have come to believe that I'm cursed to be perpetually "average" at gunz.

It took me about 3 weeks to get the hang of the game, then I was totally raping on Server 1 swords.

i spent a very very very long time coz i didnt have a teacher but with a teacher, 1 month should be the amount of time to get the hang of KSTYLE.

After playing for about 8 months I'm still (below) average

But I already told you that.

when I first started playing I was a pro e-styler(or when I was in lvl 5 or so)
but as I continued to play I learned about the styles
my first style was k-style
but when I try to bf it was jump>slash>block>dash
I still did pretty good in games but I saw some people going faster then me and owned me bad
Then I saw rockets and I noticed that my sword was to heavy
So I swtich to dagger and I noticed that my movements were faster then ever
I learned that my daggering was a style called d-style so I looked into it and I learned how to JSD and all that fancy stuff
It only took me 3 weeks to get good at d-style
That was in IGunZ btw

Took me an hour to get used to it.
Took me 15 more minutes to learn to use the glitch moves.

I was learning some styles when I first started playing the other day (Haven't been able to play since) and it was probably like... 2am.

My house mate came into my room pleeding me to go to sleep because my keyboard was so loud and keeping him awake. Makes me wonder, I might have to only play gunz at reasonable hours during the day considering its such a noisy game.

I had that same problem when I tried to play at my campus library a while back. People kept looking over at me because of how much ruckus my keyboard was making.

We had a big fight over it the next day, and I told him he could move out if he expected me not to play games after a certain time, that or buy ear plugs.

He bought ear plugs.
