| Gunzfactorian Hero | 90% of the people that come to GunZFactor care enough about the game to actually search for a online forum, and want to be "pro". So let me warn you of the consequences of being "pro": Two friends of mine got arhtrite playing gunz, one of them, actually developed a disease called Carpal Tunnel. Quote:
With this said and done, remember you got to make every practice you make progressive, and you'll lose 5 hours of your life daily (4 hours + 1 to rest). You'll also lose your anonymous status in GunZ, people will constantly whispering you, asking you for things, challenging you, and making your gunz life less funnier, even more if you go into a TOP tier clan, or you can do it like me, make a clan for friends only, and appreciate gunz instead of hardcoring it for the solo purpose of being good. If you take gunz serious, you'll end up stressed, depressed, and all kinds of mentally ill status, so when playing gunz, make sure you remember, that either you're good or bad at gunz, it won't affect you in real life, relax, don't take it serious, have fun, it's a game, supposed to relax you, and make you have fun, also remember that gunz has an online community for the purpose to get you new friends, not to lose the ones you already have in real life! Don't lose all you've accomplished in real life to play gunz, don't stay away from your friends, play gunz as a hobby to actually have fun in death times. Also remember that the free status of gunz is a priviledge, not a right, so cut some slack to MAIET and ijji! Also, don't divide the world in noobs and pros, or get to be a stupid prick over everyone, you need to respect every person, for behind every character, there is a human being with feelings, don't immediately kick someone, ask them to leave and explain the reasons, if he denies leaving, kick him, if he doesn't get kicked, don't stress, you leave yourself and make a new room! When turning down a person from your clan, don't say no because you're a noob, instead explain him the reasons carefuly, why he can not join, for distance lag, skill, hacking reasons. Also if you follow a hacking path, this will ensure you'll never be a pro at gunz, hacking is the dark side, once you get into hacking, you'll never be good at anything except hacking, and you won't ever be proud of yourself as being pro does. So if you still want to be a pro, take all those things in consideration. And give your best, relax, don't get into flaming, and don't care about what everyone says about you, even if you're a noob that plays for 4 months life me, I kick serious ass, people hate me for that, but that doesn't make me any good or better, so just have a good laugh, and ignore it. Honestly, Koven [More rep if you liked it, because as everyone else, I like to know people appreciate my work]. | |

![]() | The word "pro" actually means professional and that means you take money for being professional in that area... I don't see "pro"s take money for what they do ^^" So... my opinion, none are pros! (And self proclaimed ones are often ego) And about games... it's right. A game is supposed to be fun, relaxing and a little break from the everyday life to make it through the next day. Now... if you think games as a... duty, then you've got it all wrong. Of course... if you enjoy on others unhappiness because you beat them... then you're surely a retard... If you beat someone it's better to make them feel better over the loss. A game like this can't be won as there is no true goal. It's just a giant chat room for so to say... meeting people as koven says. |

| Banned | So because your friend was stupid enough to play GunZ all day and develop carpal tunnel, we're all going to? "pros" probably aren't even the ones that play all day, i've been playing this game for over a year and a half, i've been playing Stepmania for damn near 4 years, and I still have yet to develop any "agonizing pains" in my wrist or hands. gg EDIT: rofl, this belongs in the BS respect thread in The Garrison. You're missing the point, as long as there are people, there are going to be classifications, and there are going to be ranks. Calling yourself human is a classification, there's nothing you can do to get rid of it. It'll be here until the last human dies out. Last edited by Casval Zem Daikun; 01-05-2007 at 07:45 PM. |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | El em eff ay oh. Carpal Tunnel from GunZ? GunZ is a slow-paced game. He must've had a physical disorder before starting, to form CT from something like this. Stepmania ftw! *waves to Casval* Also, "never being good once you hack" is rather silly. I know quite a few "good" people who've hacked at one time or another. |

GG? Actually you should learn to RESPECT people, you need to respect others, for people to respect you! If everyone was an "idiot" like you, there would be no respect in the world, common sense, which is what makes A SOCIETY, and since you live IN SOCIETY, AND NOT COMPETITION, there's a feeling of helping each others, not to make them feel bad or be better then them. So to add to to it, being pro is not throwing people down, it's to bring them up, and be able to climb even higher, sooner or later you'll learn that boy! Hitler thought like you, and all he brought was destruction, which lead to nowhere, people that think like you are not needed in the world, but you have your place, we hope someday you actually grow mature, change, and actually EARN your place in a society, not by putting everyone down, but being able to succeed by your skills, not because you've erased all the competition. So to finish this, everyone is competitive, but the society reigns over all kinds of competition. Quote:

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | Koven. Let me compare Stepmania to GunZ... GunZ: Tactics, aiming, (when in the heat of a SSfest) pushing maybe 7 keys a second. Stepmania: Pushing arrows in time to music, varies from a relatively slow 16 keys per second up to 30 keys per second in some harder songs. If he played Stepmania with only his right hand, no wonder. He's not doing it right. Your comparison of him to Hitler is rather odd, considering Hitler respected others and was respected. He became leader of a country, after all. Don't point out one thing in my post and ignore the rest, now. Casval, ranks will occur until the second to last human dies out. >_> Anyway, what kind of keyboards did the kid with Carpal Tunnel have? It must've been a block keyboard in order to cause such a disorder. |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | Actually, another person in the forum which I won't mention (unless he PM's me saying I can) already PM'ed me saying he also developed Carpal Tunnel from playing gunz, and another person told me he developed it too over MSN, so keep laughing, maybe your time comes! (which I am not saying it will come, or wishing it does, I do not wish bad to anyone). |
