Computer questions

Okay, some random questions:

Is a Nividia GeForce2 mx/mx 400 better or is a ATI Rage 128 Pro better?

And if i'm using Nividia GeForce mx/mx 400 right now, is ATI Rage even compatable with my Motherboard? I dont know what kinda Motherboard I have so I cant really tell if it's compatable lol

And if my Sound Card that is connected to my Motherboard dies, which I know it finally did, cause I cant re-install my drivers or delete then find new hardware anymore, it's completely dead, can I even get another sound card? And also, what is the odds of sticks of RAM dying? Because I know for a fact that my computer has 2x 256 sticks of RAM, but my computer is saying that I only have 256 megs of ram, do ram sticks die frequently? or what.

OOOPS, Can a mod move this to the correct area please? My bad x.x

Geforce MX sucks. Get an ATi Radeon 9250 or 9500. Costs a bit more, but it's worth the money.

And how the hell are we supposed to know if it'll be compatible with your MB?

I asked if it was compatible to my motherboard because if it's the same type: Agp, ATI, or some crap like that, and both of them happen to be the same, the answer would be yes, but I dont know what either of them are, so I was hopin maybe someone else might know :O

Then, I know other videocards are betta than mine, but I have 2 of them right now, and I just wanna know which one to pick from, I'll eventually get betta stuff for my computer once my damn car is paid off.

Between ATI Rage pro and Nvidia Mx400, i suggest you pick nvidia over ati.
