| Gunzfactorian Hero | Over the past day, after about one thousand people asking to join 'Toaster' because we're a top twenty clan, it has lead me to realize something. Chances are, when you go to join a clan first thing you are going to notice is their rank. For us, Toaster, rank 19, is what you will see. You will ask to join, we say no, you beg and beg. We are not changing our answer, why? Not because we do not like seeing new faces, but because we want to keep our clan close. For some, their clan they barely know each other on a first base basis. For us, we know each other by a first name and/or nickname basis. This realization has irked me greatly. Anyway, onward to the point, today one of my good friends left the clan, Chris. He became to be ignored and by some begged to come back to the clan. I however, did not. He explained it quite simply, Toaster was not home for him, he found his home in a different place then I do, I cannot say however that I am upset. Because even though he no longer has the same banner as I, he remained my friend. Which is an idea, which may seem preposterous to some, I mean, some people do not expand their 'circle of friends' to anyone outside of their clans. Why? I know one reason, people play constantly with their clan, practicing, going over strategy, having fun... but it may just be my idiotic tendencies, however, I feel as if, we need to expand our horizons, otherwise, who is there to improve against? Why do we play the game we all love if not to improve and have fun? I am pulling myself away from my original reason for posting this. What I am asking is instead of joining a clan just because they have many members or have a high ranking, try to find one that you will someday call home. Your home can be found in the most random places. Maybe in a complete 'noob' clan, but even beginners will become good someday. Clans are like your country, in a way. The clan master can choose to run it as a democracy or a dictatorship, and the members are like the citizens. We can have alliances with other clans, and down right hate others... but in the end, just because our country as a whole 'hate' that clan, does not mean that you, yourself should hate that clan. I do not know if this makes the least of sense, but I just needed to get that off my chest. My thoughts are like a jumbled mess, I will probably edit this, maybe. I do not know. :/ |
