Donations, T-Shirts, and other ways to become a hero ;)

As you can see on the top navigation, the Donations section is now up!

We accept donations using Paypal or credit cards. We also use the Amazon Honor System.

Donating Members

All members that donate, even one dollar, will be placed in the "Donating Member" usergroup. Members of the "Donating Member" usergroupw will have:

- A new usertitle of "Donating Member", customizable to anything you want within the UserCP
- Unlimited attachment space
- 500 Stored Message PM Box
- 200 KB Avatar size limit
- Is viewable on the Forum Leaders page.

The top 5 donors will be viewable on the donations page as well.

T-Shirts

Anyone interested in getting a GunZFactor T-Shirt can order them by donating $20. The price includes the cost to create and ship the shirts, which is about $10 each. We cant make the shirts until we have 50 orders, and we will NOT be selling shirts after we make the order. Pre-ordering is the only way to get the shirts, as we cannot afford to order more shirts than we have buyers for.

Why donate?

This week, (Friday, March 3rd), I am purchasing a dedicated server for gunzfactor. The cost is $278.00 up front and $178.00 per month after that. I can front the money for now, but advertisements will not be enough to cover it completely, atleast for now. We could put more ads up on the site, but I do not consider that an option. Quality is our first goal.

Feel free to post any quesitons or suggestions below!

Edit: people that dontate by mail with an amount equal or over $20 can get the T-Shirt if they want as well.
Edit 2: if anyone makes a major donation, say, anything over $50, we'll list you on the staff page as a major donator.
Edit 3: for those that mentioned that they could only donate a buck or two, every bit helps.

To those interested in PayPal.. I live in Canada, and was able to make a PayPal account that uses my bank account. It is an "UnVerified" account however without a credit card on it, meaning some sites will not allow you to pay because you are not "Verified" (a fear I have when iGunz premiums come out). Even after you "Verify" your bank account. -_-"

Anyway, if GunzFactor allows PayPal donations (don't see why not), I think you guys should definitely make sure to allow UnVerified donations as not everyone wants/has a credit card.

Ads make me angry... some websites get so pock-marked with them that it makes your head explode.

We definitely don't want to add new ads.

GunZFactor is getting to the point where it may need its own server in the near future. We can do some wicked stuff with all the extra bandwidth we'd have, since its the processor load that we'll need the dedicated for.

If anyone doesn't have paypal, you can use a credit card without even having an account (I believe). Just follow the steps and its there.

If anyone doesnt have paypal or a credit card, I can give you my mailing address. I can manually add the donation to the Donations Page to have it count for the top lists.
