| Gunzfactorian Soldier | It's suprisingly hard, people who use k-style try using daggers somtimes and find that its extremly confusing. personally, I find k-style extremly confusing. It's just because the two styles are so different. Basically, if you know one style its hard to switch back and forth. I know basic k-style moves, but i know advanced d-style. D-style is good for assasin type player, going for the quick kill. catching them off-gaurd is the best way. It's good but it just takes alot of practice. My JSD is at the speed of a SS, maybe faster. If you are not used to using daggers than practice in a free channel where you wont get pwnt to bad. Then fight beginning k-stylers. Keep working your way up to tougher people and before you realize it you will be fighting pro k-stylers and often time winning |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | I've been using dagger for while now, and here's what I learned. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use your dagger for melee attacks except under special conditions. The dagger stab is the weakest melee in the game. Also, the range is smaller (really not too sure about that) and the lack of block puts you at a disadvantage. So rarely ever use your dagger to inflict damage. Instead, shoot your opponents. If you see a butterflier coming towards you, don't engage them in melee combat. Just shoot their feet off. Or, if you're brave enough, get in range so that you lure them to you and then just dash backwards and stab cancel. With lag, often enough they'll get the massive but you won't get the block stun. That is when you hurt them hard. To be honest, many k stylers may call you a runner, but the truth is that you're just playing to their disadvantage: range. |

![]() | Actually, stabbing is a good part of daggers. Not stabbing to attack so much as to stop mid-dash, or go in all sorts of directions while mid-air, and of course, wall cancel. I'm not an advanced dagger user or anything... But I love block tap I always just train to the side when butterfliers come at me. It'll usually trip off their block and give them a massive, so when they fire it i'm backed up enough to not get hit, and they get a pellet bath for pausing for the cause. |
