| Gunzfactorian Patriot | As the topic title intends, do you believe that psychological warfare is a part of Gunz? Personally, I'm pretty sure it exists. You could trick your opponent by use of macros that say "Surprise!" (that's one of mine). Another thing is that you could provoke your opponents, but that's just me. I actually don't partake in the second mind game. I would like your opinions on this. Don't forget to explain why or why not! |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | Look like you're running away....hide in a corner...pop out and shoot them. Of course it does =) I get an adrenaline rush when I want to win really bad....that screws up my aim. Last edited by NSman; 03-03-2006 at 12:19 AM. |

| Germahn Nazee Golden Gunzfactorian ![]() | It does beyond belief. If you watch the replay between me and Geno, you'll be kept up wondering what the hell is going to happen. I've got a few adjustments from that match now XD Wonder how it'd turn out now that I've got more sense back... Nonetheless, I sometimes enjoy just hiding around, making people wonder where I am. I also use some of natural reactions, with me rolling back, making them come to me, then me going forward, thus throwing them off. I use a nade and make them go the other way as well XD |

Also, I do this thing that if Im fighting someone new (glad match), I turtle (to see if they are any good, or what they use) and I'll go backwards and look completly newbish. If they're not good Ill probably kill them with turtle, if they are somewhat good Ill lose purpusly. The next round Ill butterfly stright at them full speed and kill them on the spot. Then they'll go something like: wtf??? bfly noob!!! Newbies are fun like that ![]() Last edited by See_Dee; 03-03-2006 at 01:33 AM.

![]() | I'm good at annoying people, too. Once, I started accusing someone of using hacks in Shakespearian, when they were clearly not. "Yonder h4x doth wrought thine epoch of suck upon our kingdom, and ye beeith thine catalist!" *kills person* "Woe! For I hath felled yonder h4x!" Quote:

I like also sniping people while hiding on one of the many invisble floors. It pisses off all the time. And during my assassian days, I would sneak around, dagger stab the person, run away so they can never find me. Lather Rinse Repeat. It freaked people out when it was 1 on 1, dead silence, then BAM they are on the ground with a shotgun shell in thier head!

And I wouldn't exactly call wall-hacking psyching your opponent out... but to each their own, I guess.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Er.... Aside from just pissing people off, there are a few psychological tricks you could play in Gunz for your own advantage. I saw someone who just kept on spamming a macro after they died to distract people (it said "If you are reading this, you are being distracted" XD.) ... Of course, it probably worked on her teammates too ^^;. Also, if you appear in the right spot at the right times, enough times, you can scare people into doubting their actions. I once shot someone in the back so much, they left the game ^^;. (.... This is not what I intended though -_-;. I wanted to keep on shooting him in the back XD.) Flashbangs and smoke are most effective when used as psychological weapons, rather than physical ones. (I'll someday want to write a guide detailing this XD. It seems like the only thing I >could< write a guide on XD.) Anyway, yeah there is psychological warfare. Not as much so as real warfare, of course (I mean, you aren't as afraid of dying in a game, you know XD). But it's still there. @ Azeroth: That's a hilarious idea. I'll have to do that sometime XD. |

| Hiding Inside Myself Super Moderator | Psycho warfare is all around Gunz, like totally. Pissing someone will get their concentration lost, and eventually making them an easy kill. Daggers are good pissing-off weapons. Stab them like hell and then do the dagger lunge just makes those "noobies(?)" scream at the top of their lungs like "WTF, what's going on?" And stalking those players who were pissed off will give you the experience points that you need. ![]() On the other hand... Meh, when I get hungry, I get easily pissed off and lose my concentration with the game. Add the fact that sometimes my internet connection is way too slow and my keyboard just sucks, that's just too much. ![]() |
