| Member | I'm a hybrid right now and have only mastered Wallflying, barely knowing BF and SS throughout the years of playing... but, I have to ask, does it matter if you dash first or jump first in any K-based move? I dash before I jump, even though most instrucitons say jump first, however, it doesn't seem to make a difference since the inertia carries over after the dash. The only difference I can see is that there's a slightly longer delay in the switching since you can't switch until after the jump (so you'll either take a little longer per SS shot, or you won't slash during the movement), but the movement speed is faster... AM I like doing a n00b SS when I dash first, or am I just doing it an alternate way? |

![]() | Well Jump Dash also leads to more efficient and proper K-Style moves. I wouldn't imagine trying to do a half step Dashing first and then Jumping. It just wouldn't be possible. Same with SS. That would be called JSD instead of SS actually. (-.-) |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | The entire point of Kstyle is to increase your dodging abilities while maintaining the ability to shoot. Dashing then jumping gives you slower timing because you can't shoot during the dash, but you can shoot during the dash if you dash after your jump. Also, when you use dash jump, you are moving in a longer path at a constant speed...making you easier to shoot. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hmm.... I dunno about the claims that dashing last make you more evasive, but I >do< know that if you jump last, you risk rushing your slash-shot into your jump and end up slashing on the ground (getting stuck for the animation and making yourself vunerable to bullets). So I would generally try to jump first, if only for the sake of having a more reliable K-style. (And I think that's what counts most. Getting your skills to a point where you can rely on them not to screw up at a crucial moment :P.) |

![]() | Generally it's better if you incorporate a dash into a jump. Dashing around on the ground and then jumping up and shoot is kinda pointless and awkward. So generally try to jump -> dash. There is a difference between where you put the dash inside the jump though. Most moves requires you to Jump -> dash BEFORE a sword slash, that makes you fall down to the ground really fast, as site said in a \ shape. I however found that moving around w/ silent flash step: jump -> slash and THEN dash gets me up stairs, around objects, up crates and ledges easier. Also aiming is slightly easier if you put a dash after a slashshot. This is basically like Jump-shoot-switchmelee-dash, but you don't just pull out your gun you still cancel it out. Two dashes, one before slash and one after slash, is a flashstep. You can try to do all K-style moves w/ the dash after melee-cancel and see how you feel. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Actually there is no proper way, watch some kgunz replays some of them use: Dash > Jump > slashshot (or halfstep) You can use it when you are going around the corner for example.. so.. yeah. |

Jump Dashing cases start something like this. |\ The first jump is prety much near vertical and after that it starts to get the V shape during repeats. Dash jumping starts like this: __/ Lots of x-axis movement, and once you jump you keep going the direction you dashed. After a few repeats, it gets an elongated V look. | |
