| Gunzfactorian | Which would you say is better? Playing Gunz on a desktop computer or a laptop? I have both but i'm playing on a laptop and i heard it's easier on a desktop. I would've played on a desktop but i think my desktop computer is too old. It's been around for 7 years :-S. I'm thinking of fixing it up to get it working again and playing Gunz on it. Your thoughts? |

| Former Caustic Mod Golden Gunzfactorian ![]() | I find the keyboard of a desktop much easier to play with. The keys are more defined from each other and the angle the keys are at is easier on your hand. Alot, if not all of this game is twitch. If you are completely used to playing on your laptop there shouldn't be too much of a difference in your final preformance. I suggest you try playing gunz on a friend's desktop computer first to see if you like it better before you drop money on upgrading an old machine. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | I prefer my laptop, but I use a regular desktop keyboard, because for me it's harder to chain k-style moves on a laptop keyboard (though I can't flashstep at all on a regular kb, oddly). Also, all that button-mashing is going to destroy the keyboard eventually, and it's easier to replace a regular one. |

| Hiding Inside Myself Super Moderator | I would prefer to play in a desktop computer. *meh, I haven't tried playing Gunz in a laptop before ![]() The keyboards *like what the above posts say* is a huge factor in your gameplay. Not to mention the display, for desktop computers have a huge resolution and clearer graphics display as compared to laptops. *although, I may be wrong with this statement, for laptops now are upgraded |

![]() | I like my latop keyboard. The keys are soft and respond quicker then normal keyboards because of the flat keys. Also, the keys are very close to one another and its easier to use the function keys without moving your hand too much. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Actually the topic should now be 'Do you prefer a laptop keyboard or regular keyboard?'. I use a regular keyboard, but the keys are very low, almost as low as a laptop's keyboard. The problem is that, although it's alot easier to do the moves, I can't do stuff that require left and right dashes, due to the keys which sit too low. This is what I use. Only about US $7 LOL. ![]() |

| Signature Wizard | I have a $3,000 Alienware laptop and it's PERFECT for GunZ. 1440x900 resolution, so I run GunZ at the max and it's still not all of what my computer can do. 3.4 GHz and 2 GB RAM means I have no framerate issues, and the proximity of the keys to each other would make kstyling easy (though I'm a hybrid player). One thing though, if you have a laptop buy a mouse! A touchpad doesn't cut it for anything... I've got a 7-button logitech wireless mouse that works very well. |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | I prefer desktop, too The keyboard I use is at least 5 years old but it's a good one (and i put CAPSLOCK and the left windows key out! I would suggest this to every one who loves playing. I got a bit better^^) And my mouse.... it has neither wireless nor optical. It has 2 buttons and a mousewheel. Nothing more. I can play with it better than many ppl with far better mice ![]() |
