Red face who belived xtrap will hold off all hacks?

Xtrap was a nice idea but failed badly.
It's fun watching hackers going crazy trying to bypass xtrap in other forums.

3 days later 2 hackers already bypassed xtrap( ) and were sending their ideas there.

I knew X-Trap would be bypassed really quickly, but at least it's serving its purpose by preventing all the script kiddies from using their leeched hacks.

This is also like the seventh thread about this. =\

I've never seen an anti-cheat that offered complete protection, but at the very least prevents common exploits. More often than not, I've seen anti-cheat programs cause side-effects that aggravate people, heh (punkbuster comes to mind, as well as anti-cheat clients that replace the main .exe).

Yeah, it's fun watching script kiddies beg to people using hacks for a bypass. I saw that happen in a game yesterday o_o
The guy really didn't bother me though, he was just jumping around and chatting... though he wasted half my ammo.

I have only seen one hacker since xtrap, rather than dozens a day.

I didn't believe it.

Hackers always try to find a way to ruin other people's fun.

Every game, there will be hacks, and with any game that wishes to surive there will be patches.

That's the one problem with humanity, we can't patch stupidity.

Stop making these threads... PLEASE. They're annoying. Who said X-trap was going to stop each and every hacker? No one who knows what they're talking about.

X-trap has definitely helped. I may see a hacker once every day or two, but that sure as hell beats 20 noobs a day.

Amen. There is no antihack system ever, likely, that'll stop hackers completely. It's not really possible, the game will be patched and they'll just find more holes, the system'll be patched and a new hole will be created/found. On and on and on. -.-
