Word Definitions. (Read Before You Post New Topics)

Word Definitions

Lately people have been throwing out words like "hypocrite" "cocky" etc etc and most people don't even fully understand what these words mean.

So i thought i would make a thread where i define words so that people don't make treads with titles like "HE IS PRO?!" or "THIS GUY IS A HYPOCRITE" etc etc.

This guide will be simple, I will just give definitions to certain words that not fully understanded but used a lot nowadays.

Hypocrite: A person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives.

Cocky: Overly self-confident or self-assertive.

Pro: a professional who gets paid/sponsored for their talent/job.

Hacker: A person who enjoys learning the details of programming systems and how to stretch their capabilities.

Newb/Noob: Newbie (also spelled noob, newb, or n00b in the leetspeak of internet culture) is a to a particular field, the term being commonly used on the internet, where it might refer to new users of a game.

Nazi: An abbreviation of the term for the National Socialist political party , a political party headed by Adolf Hitler from 1921 to 1945. The Nazi party ideology was strongly anticommunist, anti-Semitic, racist, nationalistic, imperialistic and militaristic.

Retard: Mental retardation (also called mental handicap and the UK Mental Health Act (1983) defines mental impairment and severe mental impairment) is a term for a pattern of persistently slow learning of basic motor and language skills ("milestones") during childhood, and a significantly below-normal global intellectual capacity as an adult.


When i think of some more i will post them up here.
