| Gunzfactorian | I was wondering, do you think graphic cards or what type of pc play a role in a 1vs1 win or lose situation? I mean say one guy has a realli good Pc that can play basically anything 1078 res and Up vs a guy who has to play in optimized. Who do you think has the better advantage..? I feel the the guy with the better Pc does...I suffer from a good pc with a weak grahic card which I need to upgrade seriously...i've been playing optimized for the longest and i'm tired of frame rate dropping if I move to fast and all that...especially if you k-style it's extremely hard to do it unless you have smooth frame rate. If your frame rate isn't smooth then you're gonna end up half way stepping and getting killed in the proces...so think about it does a graphic card really play the role in who can win or lose? I mean the user can only take his character so far...the comp has to take up the rest of the slack.. |

![]() | I can say from expierence that playing at low framerates can make all the difference in the world. Trying to bf constantly on a low fps computer is frikin impossible. I think I get above 60 fps, anything lower can affect your gameplay. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It indeed makes a difference. I've played GunZ on several different computers, and a better framerate is no doubt an advantage in your gameplay. Winning and losing is still a matter of skill, though. The better graphics card could give you an edge in that. Recommended by MAIET is 32 Mb, and less than that is indeed unplayable. 64+ is far better, and when it's 128 you're in the zone of very smooth framerates and gameplay... GunZ can run on weak machines but it's a heck of alot better with some extra power under the graphics wing. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I run gunz on full settings and it works well. Mobile Intel Pentium 4 532, 3066-3100 MHz (23 x 133) ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP (128) ATI Mobility Radeon 9000/9100 IGP (RS300M) 3D Accelerator 1.5 Gig (DDR SDRAM) DirectX 9.0c On a non integrated card gunz runs a little better, not much, but could give you a advantage in close combat. Really this become kind of neutralized after you get used to playing on that card and can predict movements. Lead shot takes care off all. The only way i see getting a advantage from is if you have a very very good card. Last edited by destrucci?; 08-09-2006 at 10:08 PM. |

| Gunzfactorian | Well Judgeing from Most peoples Ideas I thought so, I mean ever try to play a game that requires alot of frame rate outta your rig and your just stuttering around graphic lagging like hell? For all those who have good pcs that can run gunz 60+ fps I envy them, because for people with weaker graphic cards it's complete hell. I mean everythings pretty cool if nobody uses rockets/nades/anything els that explodes like crazy. But I 've come to a point where I know i'm looseing to people I can beat mainly because my computer just isn't good as theirs. Which isn't really a excuse but i was just trying to point out that frame rate really does effect your 1vs1 Situations ALOT K-style all depends on the stuff like I said earlier..and if your card isn't up to par and can spit those smooth rates out your done for. I wonder how it would be if everybody played gunz though and had the exact same Pc with exact same settings. Then maybe itd be a little differn't. |

| Gunzfactorian Bird | I play everything maximized, even AA/AF settings, minimap detail, everything. Quality is great and keeping me at 150-200 fps. My settings are, Pentium 4 180GB hardrive capacity 1536MB of RAM 3.7GHZ x1600XT Radeon And a crazy mouse/keyboard specially made for games, and yes I have no life. |
