Shotgun, patch lag

The definition of patch lag that i know is the increased ping which doesnt show with "tab" after the last two or more patches. Therefore even with 10 ping as it says on tab, your shots might not land when the hit counter reacts.

This brings up shotguns, where them and rockets are the best choices nowadays for killing effectively. Not only do shotguns spread well for leading, they also do a high high damage if up close and also a high high damage if you get lucky to hit all your pellets from far.

Revolvers are the best one hit weapons because they do not require yourself to be close to hit effectively and to deal the most amount of damage. They also target a high % of your HP rather than your AP.


Now that i talked briefly of these three things...there are some problems i want to state.

Many of you can see the sudden boost of the already high population of sg users after RS was founded. Why? The patch lag created several weapons to be nearly ineffective for most people. Sg can do really high damage up close, 2-3 point blanks can basically kill anything. They can have nearly no spread if you're lucky from far. They can be RS'd most easily.
The problem i have with shotguns is the low spread, if you play any other game, try using a shotgun, and the spread will be tremendous every single time you use it. But with Gunz you can do frigging up to 144 damage from FARRR. So my first suggestion is to increase spread or to make sure the spread is constantly the same.

At first i started with using dual revs...then onto sg+revs.....then dual sg.....and now im sg+revs again, leaving one sg there incase im not lucky with revs that day.

Basically the point of this topic is, the shotguns. I would prolly use revs/rifle or accurate weapons if sg's would stop being so overpowered with their point blanks from close and far. Just look at the clans, anathema, macro, respect, curse, in a clan war where it counts, you dont see many people not use sgs. Some people would probably say: oh well its cuz i liked them... well there's always a reason why you like something, and for most of you, its because SGs are the better choice in delaing damage.

Some parts of this might not make sense or contain bad grammer...sorry but its the holiday "virus"
Oh and this isnt to flame Maiet, its just a suggestion for shotguns ^^

mythz....speaking the truth is a horrible sin on gunzfactor.

many bold people have spoken truths about k-style, shotty denerfing etc. and only thing the poor chap got is a lot of "fk u n00b!! learn to live with it"

I understand, u urself use shottys and even then want them to be a lil less powerful. Thats the reason I commend u.

but unfortunately...not everyone on Gunz community has a brain.

No im not like those other idiots whining about overpower shotguns because of stupid reasons, but i mean does doing 144 damage point blank from 10 screens away sound fair? No...k-style was meant for gunz, i dont really dislike much about gunz to talk about it other than this terribly unrealistic fact.

More shotty spread, mmm, not a bad idea honestly. IMO it's a pretty good balance suggestion, enough for me to stop using them a lot (I only use shotties because they're blatantly better than everything else).

i got bored the other day and baought a shotty, now i usealy use revs, and i do have good aim, so when i was using the shotty i relized i was hiting people hard even far away

then i got called noob and hacker and all taht, so i jsut left.

Yesterday i was in a cw (that we got owned in) and one chick/dude keep trying to pump me with dual shottys, she/he fired both of her breakers dry, and didn't hit me once, while the other one shot me from the clock tower to the truck at the spawn and took half my health

i don't understand it, but then again, i guess i wasn't suppose to, Maiet gets it's way in the end

Lol, i felt something spectacular today.

Ok, so today i went to Men's Rogers Cup in Ontario and watched three matches, one match being terrific. And i was enjoying the whole process, other than that i was tanned so bad im like brown now.
All of a sudden, i had an urge to leave...like when i was 10 years old....i wanna go home and enjoy the AC, drinks...AND GUNZ.

Then in my head i started picturing i was sniping with my rev, then people were nice and i was having a chat like the good old times. When they compliment if needed, and keep quiet if needed. I cant believe after using revs i actually wanted to go home and play Gunz...this feeling had only been in me when i started the game for the first week.

Especially on fan forums, where the only person in exclusive contact with the MAIET team comes on at 4 am for us.
