Default How A Gunblade Should Work. . .

Gunblades

Controls would be
Left Click Slash (4 hit combo, yes massive)
Right Click Shoot (6/4 shots?)
Delay (Sword Part) 340
Delay (Gun Part) 400

It would be a Sword+Revolver
It would take Slots : Melee and Weapon 1

Gunblade Levels

Level 30: Gunblade 1 Rev: 30 Sword: 17
Level 40: Gunblade 2 Rev: 35 Sword: 19
Level 50: Gunblade 3 Rev: 37 Sword: 21

So....any ideas?

as neat as this sounds, doesn't it seem kinda revolutionary? At the rate Gunz is going, anything, even the smallest change, would spark some kind of strange and most likely messed-up fad. GB-style >_>, woot

If I remeber correctly, a gun/blade combo was intended Gunz. Look on the "special moves" section in the kgunz website. One of the guys is holding a sword/gun. Forgot which one though.

Edit: We don't really need that at all though, we have k-style. =|

Oh God no, look at what the reload button did, caused all sorts of SG spamming dumb****s. Just think what an entirely new weapon would do.

My God, think of the consequences.

Bah, get used to the spam, it's never leaving.

Infact, let's have more spam, I'm sure it'll make the game more fun, even more spam than duel rockets.

Technically, the Gunblades from FF8 didn't actually fire bullets. I do remember a FF game (one of the new ones I believe) with a gunblade-wielding character that actually could fire rounds from his weapon.

How heavy is it?

Weight aside, wouldn't a YolWolRang + Zaurus B x2 be a better combination than a puny 'Rev: 37 Sword: 21' weapon?

++ On how cool the gunblade would look like tho.

How about not......

(gunblade = stupid idea. No offense, but in ff8, it was originally designed to be able to pull a trigger on the moment of impact, doing more damage. It was actually not supposed to fire anything.)

I assume your reffering to the idea of squals gunblade....?

The only char i can think of from the ff franchise that had a sword/gun that fired bullets, was a long haired emo from ff7: advent children. And even then it was more of a revolver/dagger then anything else.

I never thought of the Gun Yazoo used being a blade, more like it had a sharp edge. Did you ever see him try to attack Cloud with the "blade" part? Ack, we're getting off-topic

It was used to parry on defense and shoot while on offense...I think.....(needs to watch movie again)

[/ontopic]

The gunblade would never work. Unless guntrix is a great fan of Final fantasy, I really doubt it would be added.(although i did hear giant swords would be added to gunz......But just a rumor)

Aren't giant swords suppose to be premium items? Anyways, I'm assuming if they did add Gunblades they'd be rediculously (sorry, can't spell today) heavy, since there's the handle, the blade, the bullets, the chamber, etc. Probably two-handed, it'd be part of the giant sword family.
