| Member | For the past year I've turned the music on my GunZ Client off and just listened to the sounds of the fight. It gives you a chance to hear more like people reloading, healing and what not. Recently I discovered why I couldn't hear anything when I tried using windows media player and playing gunz. I had maximize performance ticked in the Misc. section of options. That somehow stopped the sound. O_o; Anyways, now I'm listening to music while I play and I find it helps quite a lot since it gives you a rhythm you can follow and yet you can still concentrate on the match. Personally I think music is important when playing GunZ if you feel like you need a rhythm to follow. I just feel less tense when there's music on, I don't really need the "rhythm". So what do you guys think? |

| Member | I prefer to have the music OFF... As u said u can hear people who heals, u can hear the sound dashing produces from a long distance, u can hear when someone throws a grenade...U can hear everything from far away. Its much better to have music off IMO.. later |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | I turn music on with I play so I can RELAX and ENJOY myself. I honestly could give a **** less if playing without music helps you play "better." (I listen to my own music btw, not the ingame music.) |

| Gunzfactorian Veteran Hero | Rhythm can be against you... i like to do unexpected switches, like from going to single bf to double bf, where as my single bf is at a 8-step beat, my double bf is at a 4-step beat, if you go in a rhythm with the single bf, your double bf is screwed. |

Gorillaz - Dare White Zombie - Super Charger Heaven, Thunderkiss 65, More Human Than Human Rob Zombie - Girl On Fire, Dragula, Foxy Foxy, Superbeast Korn - Freak on a Leash, Blind, Here To Stay, Coming Undone... Some more I can't remember right now. Ozzy - Hellraiser Danzig - Mother Manson - Dope Hat, Lunchbox, Wrapped In Plastic, This Is The New *hit, Personal Jesus, Sweet Dreams, The Dope Show, Posthuman, Rock N Roll Ni**er (Dunno if it's not allowed to be said so yeah.), mOSBCENE, sAINT, Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth, Para-Noir, The Beautiful People, The Love Song, The Fight Song, King Kill 33, President Dead, A Place In The Dirt, Burning Flag, Irresponsible Hate Anthem, Little Horn, Antichrist Superstar, The Reflecting God... Tiny Tim - Having A Wonderful Time (You know, that song in all those YTMNDs.) Rammstein - Rammstein, Mein Teil Turn off the Gunz default music. No, seriously. It sucks big cock. | Wiki Foreman / SysOp | I recommend you people listen to m1dy while playing. m1dy is really ****ty so the ****tiness will force you to focus on the game more if you don't want to listen to that ****, and it's speedcore so you'll be able to bf at 1000 bpm. |

| Gunzfactorian | o_0 I disagree with this "rhythm" thing. I suppose if you found some kind of music with the almost exact rhythm that can match your moves, it could help I suppose. Listening to your own music helps make the game more enjoyable yeah, and could improve your gaming somewhat, but that would have nothing to do with rhythm, just you being more comfortable. For me, I turned music off. It helps you hear things a lot better, which gives away people's positions easily. Everytime I zoom past someone behind their back and they don't even notice, I'm thinking "Wtf, didn't you hear that??". You can hear peopple reloading, slashing, dashing, switching to sword, shooting in the distance, etc. |

| Gunzfactorian | I don't think music effects me when I'm playing gunz, i just blast out some hard rox and mettals and it feels awesome. Sometimes when I'm camping and a song full of HARD ROX comes on i feel like rushing the whole team, so maybe it effects me in that respect. The advantage of being able to hear stuff is important though. If I was ever in a clan war, I think I'd turn music off. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | I have the answer that would solve everyone's problems. These steps enable you to listen to music while still hearing everything in game..actually very simple... 1: Turn on your music player (I use winamp. No lag between songs, simple interface, easy access playlists, etc...). 2: Pick the music you want to listen to (I use a playlist filled with techno/powerful classical music/ColdPlay (O.o) ). 3: Very important part here...turn your computer's sound ALL the way up. 4: Turn DOWN your music player's built in sound. Not all the way down (you won't hear it :P), but I'd say maybe half bar... 5: After that, play your music, and then turn on Gunz. Go through all the normal stuff, and then get into the option menu. Turn off background music if it already hasn't been turned off, and for sound effects volume, turn it all the way up. And there you go. You'll have music playing in the background while still hearing everything in game. heals, grenade bounces, even footsteps. If you want things turned down (in game sounds or your music), DO NOT turn down your Gunz and music player sounds...turn down your Windows sound or, if by chance you have speakers that have volume tuners (as I do), just turn that down a little until everything's perfect. I've done this for months now..and it's been great. |
