| Gunzfactorian Guardian | well ive done tests and figured out wut WAS the cause of my lag. im plugged straight into my parents linksys wrt45g router, just your normal wireless g router from linksys. now if u have this router (dont know if it works with other routers being that i dont own them, but it should) login to your router. if u have this router then the default login is 192.168.1.1 and there is no username, the password is defaulted to admin. for other routers login info, just google your router and the default ip. for example, "lnksys wrt45g router ip." once u get logged in, click on the "wireless" tab. you should see a few options there. one of them should be ssid broadcast. wut that does is lets EVERY wireless card out there know the name of your router. its a waste. if u turn that off then you should notice a big difference right away. ig u do change that setting, click on save settings and allow it to save. then exit the screen and try it out! this works AMAZING for me. hope it works for you guys too. other things u can try to speed up your connection: Defrag your harddrive, download and use the following programs, ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, avg antivirus. NOTE: This will only help you if you are recieving invisilag from EVERYONE. if your connection is already very good, there is no need to even try this. |
