| Gunzfactorian Hero | Made in November-December 2006, but never copy-pasted it into GunZFactor. Just found it lying on a random folder. Oh by the way: 1. I banned myself for one month. 2. I quitted (quit?) GunZ, permanetly. (Haven't played in several months so no, I'm not going to come back) 3. I quitted (quit?) GunZFactor (with the exception of this post), permanetly. I won't be looking at this thread, so feel free to flame me; as I won't see it, so your flames won't matter anyways. God forbid I ever decide come back here, it'll only be to post something relevant in the form of a .wmv, .txt or...something. Start E-Drama....Now. Useless Fact: Copy-paste into Word. It not only looks a LOT better, but it's 6 1/4 pages. Useless Fact II: No, I am NEVER releasing my E-Style Guide (This part is relevant only to those who have asked on MSN) |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | It's time for a change, and i'm just putting forth my part for change. The main point I want to focus on this is the shotgun. As we all know, the shotgun is overpowered. Hence why around 85% of the GunZ population uses them. I would like to see one of two things occur: 1. The game turns FULL K-Style, and all the unnecessary weapons are removed (One-handed weapons for example) and the game is reflected upon it. 2. K-Style gets nerfed (Or heavily reduced), along with the shotgun, and buff the current useless weapons (Once again, one-handed weapons as an example) The reason why I want this to occur is because as of now, you are heavily deluded into thinking that their's all sorts of weapons etc that you can choose from, when in reality, there really isn't much you can choose from when you play SERIOUSLY. The only real weapons you can choose from are: 1. Revolver 2. Shotgun That's it. I was thinking about putting "Assault Rifle" up there, but there's almost NOONE who's really REALLY good with it to even compete with the revolver and/or shotgun. Now, revolvers are fine the way they are. They do the job they're supposed to. But shotguns on the other hand, NEED reworking. They NEED it badly. I've been putting up with the overpoweredness of shotguns for over a year and a half now, and MAIET (and as of now, Ijji) has done NOTHING to the weapons in that one and a half years, probably even further. They didn't balance ANY weapons at all. You'd think MAIET would be like "Oh wow, they discovered some new techniques, we'll need to adjust the weapons in case they decide to do X with this or Y with that." But no, as MAIET is MAIET, not much happens. Hell, I bet the revenue off the Golden Memberships here earn more money then what Ijji/MAIET does. Then again, I digress, my opinion. Now, i've been talking enough about MAIET/Ijji, and i'll focus now on the shotgun, and exactly why it is deemed overpowered. The shotgun is overpowered for numerous reasons. A few of these are: 1. Even though the damage is reduced at long range, that is negated by the fact that you can spam it faster then .5 seconds, and still chip off the AP quit easily. 2. The sheer amount of bullets that are held is somewhat staggering. 25 bullets total? You could kill over 12 people in one shotgun. You can't get that many with any other weapon, except perhaps the Walcom SMG (22 damage) And even then, that's assuming every bullet hits. 3. The obvious - Being able to spam it much faster then what it was intended for. Why even have a 1,000 (1 second) delay if you can just spam it like that? 4. With lag, it is still the most superior weapon to use because of the spread. The worse then of course, being revolvers. 5. The MAIN reason why it's overpowered - The damage. Wow, how anti-climatic huh? Yes, the damage is what COMPLETELY screws over any other weapon. Assume Breaker 8 damage (9 damage a pellet) : Warning - Lots of math ahead. Unless stated otherwise, we are assuming that all of your hits are point blank. 12 * 9 = 108 damage, point blank. Let's think about that for a second. 108 damage. How much armor does the average level 30 have? 86-ish...95-ish? We'll assume 95. 108 - 95 = 13 Damage straight to health. 100 - 13 = 87 Health remaining Assume one and two pellets critically hit (A critical hit is in which it completely bypasses armor, and goes straight to health) X=1, X=2 - 87 - 9 = 78 Health 87 - 18 = 69 Health So, in one shot, assuming you critically hit, (Which usually occurs in at least one pellet) You can leave the opponent with 69-78 health, in ONE shot. You can EASILY be two shotted if 8/12 or 9/12 bullets hit, which in actuality, is somewhat hard to accomplish. 9 * 8 = 72 72 - 69 = -3, Killed. 9 * 9 = 81 81 - 78 = -3, Killed. Let's try a different control for a second. We'll assume you have the maximum amount of armor possible without premiums; which is 108 armor. 108 - 108 = 0 AP left Seems like you're home free right? You still have a full 100 health left. Alright, let's assume again that at least one bullet critcally hits. 100 - 9 = 91 In order to be killed in two shots, 11/12 bullets must hit. 11 * 9 = 99 91 - 9 = -8, Killed. Now, of course this is a much more difficult task then 8/12 or 9/12, but it is still relatively easy to just finish the job. ---------------------------------------------- Ok, let's take in all of the premiums EXCEPT THE ADVENTURER SET, (Trust me, I will explain later) and give them +20 AP (+10 AP per ring) and we'll do the same experiment. Iron Crow: 114 HP, 79 AP (99 AP with rings) 108 - 99 = 9 damage straight to health 114 - 9 = 105 Health remaining. Assume one pellet critically hits. 105 - 9 = 96 Like our example before, 11/12 pellets must hit. 11 * 9 = 99 96 - 99 = -3, Killed. ---------------------------------------------- Eternal Blue Uniform: 111 HP, 89 AP (109 AP with rings) 108 - 109 = -1, in otherwords, you have 1 AP remaining. Now, although that 1 AP is extremely marginal, and will not affect the overall statistics at all, I will throw it into the equation just to prove the point. Remember, we're at the point where we assume one bullet critically hits. 111 - 9 = 102 HP A-ha! We have a winner! This is the ONLY premium set in which you MUST hit 12/12 bullets in order to two shoot someone. 108 - 102 = -6, Killed. -6 + 1 = -5, Killed. (The +1 is representing the 1 AP of armor we had left over) ---------------------------------------------- Ceremonial Dress: 114 HP, 57 AP (77 AP with rings) 108 - 57 = 51 damage straight to health. 114 - 51 = 63 Health remaining. Assume one bullet critically hits. 63 - 9 = 52 In order to two shoot someone, you must hit half, or 6/12 shots. 9 * 6 = 54 52 - 54 = -2, Killed. ----------------------------------------- Before I go on, let me explain as to why I disregarded the Adventurer Set. Quite simply, the set is horrible and meant for lower levels. I was considering not even putting the Ceremonial Dress, but I decided to anyways. The Adventurer set isn't anywhere near the other Premiums, or normal armor. Ok, now THIS is where the real fun begins. You're probably saying to yourself "Well, he's assuming it's point blank, which is rare." And you know what? You're right, that was in your favor. But now, we're gonna kick it up a bit ^_^ We're NOW going to assume that only HALF of your pellets hit, which without the math, is 54 damage (9 * 6) Not only this, but i'm ALSO going to add in TIME into the equation. But wait, it gets even BETTER! I'm ALSO going to re-do ALL the experiments with these new equations and see how it terms out! In terms of time, we are always going to assume these things: 1. Let's take TWO numbers for K-Styler's to fire one shotgun, then the other. We'll use TWO people to represent. The first person will be the slower K-Styler (Person A), and will only fire shotgun to shotgun in 1 second flat. The next person will be the faster K-Styler (Person B), and will only fire shotgun to shotgun in .5 seconds flat. Two shots total for each. 2. All pellets hit (6/12), unless otherwise specified. 3. Critical hits will only occur when the target has armor. 4. After assuming they all hit, we will then assume he only hits half of his shots before the opponent is killed. 5. Since both person's A and person's B damage will be exactly the same, I am still going to copy down the equation for both persons, as to not cause confusion. Let's get started! I'm going in order that I was last time. Person A - Assume opponent has 95 armor, 100 health. 95 - 54 = 41 Armor. 100 - 9 = 91 91 HP, 41 AP 41 - 54 = -13, or 13 damage straight to health. 91 - 13 = 78 HP. 78 HP, 0 AP 78 - 54 = 24 HP 24 HP, 0 AP 24 - 54 = -30, Killed. Total shots: 4 Time: 2 seconds to kill. Missing half his shots: 3 seconds to kill. 6 shots total. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Person B - Assume person has 95 armor, 100 health. 95 - 54 = 41 Armor. 100 - 9 = 91 91 HP, 41 AP 41 - 54 = -13, or 13 damage straight to health. 91 - 13 = 78 HP. 78 HP, 0 AP 78 - 54 = 24 HP 24 HP, 0 AP 24 - 54 = -30, Killed. Total shots: 4 Time: 1 second to kill. Missing half his shots: 1.5 seconds to kill. 6 shots total. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Person A - Assume opponent has 108 AP, 100 HP. 108 - 54 = 54 AP. 100 - 9 = 91 91 HP, 54 AP 54 - 54 = 0 AP 91 - 9 = 82 HP 82 HP, 0 AP 82 - 54 = 28 HP 28 HP, 0 AP 54 - 28 = -28, Killed. Total shots: So, this is where you come in. I am going to make a petition to change the shotgun and to balance the weapons in general. My goal is to get over five hundred signatures. I will send a PROFESSIONAL REPORT to Ijji and/or MAIET (if need be) with petitioners included. If we reach the amount, and I do make the report, I will share it with everyone first before sending it. All you need to do is simply make a post stating why you want the shotgun and/or weapon(s) changed and your name. |

500 signatures? Do have any idea what's the total number of people who play Gunz (all versions combined)? Add a couple of extra 0s to your signature collecting goal before you even think of typing up that 'professional' report of yours. | |

![]() | yeah, when you are not using shotguns/revolvers, you are a noob, according to most of gunz community. the server i play on, i get called a sprayer for using ravens =/ it's ironic how people call "spray guns" cheap when shotguns are so much overpowered... |
