| Gunzfactorian Postcount Demi-God | Counter Massives dont always work, expecially vs extremely good butterfliers who know how to stay in the slash range, but outside the massive range.(massive is slightly smaller then slashes) I can't exactly tell you how to beat them, but I can tell you how to atleast hurt them severely. 1. Roll backwards and shoot forwards - You have no idea how many times this has defeated me. Butterflying is no faster then a regular dash or roll, although it makes you alot harder to hit. 2. Look up while blocking - Skyblock as gladiators like to call it, makes jump slashes bounce off gaurds and temporarily stuns you. After you do this I suggest uppercutting and instakilling them. Dont use the massive as if they can butterfly well, they also know how to block massives. |

![]() | I usually use revolvers on them, though that only affects the novice BFers who know how to BF yet leave them selves open a lot by using obvious patterns. My revs suck though when I'm up against a pro BFer who knows how to hit Shift super fast and block half my shots. The best thing I can think of to do is spray them or shotgun them in the legs, seeing as how its impossible to block that area, and they are always jumping up and down. Yet it barely does enough damage to there AP. Shooting them as soon as they land is also a great idea, especially since most BFers will just use block while in air. I usually just follow them around and try to dodge there pattern using tumbling, I do crazy stuff like run into walls then dash backwards, it messes them up like half the time. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Personally, I think flashsteps the hardest to counter. It's both fast and effective/tricky. Watch someone use a butterfly on you. Then flashstep. If they get close enough, they'll kill you 2x faster than butterfly. Flashstep also tends to confuse me(whether it's going to be a ss or not). |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | um.....u totally misunderstood him NSman in a tdm k-stylers butterfly to get close you wit bf after they are close they can: 1) bf u to death if u cant move = owned 2) do any other k-style attack upclose to you = pwned 3) any variation on ss/fs/hs/hhs/ms/etc = pwned as heck |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Ah, I see. Yep turtling helps. Another variation would be to first butterfly close. Then instead of simply butterflying, hold the block and run a little towards the person. Basically turtling, but a little less expected. If you watch some pros, they tend to do that often too. |

| Member | okay.. gunz is gunz.. seriously bfers and flashers and sword users in general are much easier when you kno were they are going and keep a well enough distant to do dmg yourself but hover around so you can bug the **** out of em enough they get pissed and miss.. dont be afraid to die from any k-stylers if your not one or not good at it.. its more constant with that quickswitching so they will miss mostly and if they arnt quite the pro with it, they will get stuck for a few secs because they sped into a wall or corner.. make your move then when it counts. really that advice above is random ****, do what feels right.. no one can really train you or help u. help youself by figuring what eq you work the best with. |
