Trying something new.

I don't like how the debris and breaking down of NSman turned out...or the background...or.....much of the sig for that matter, I was trying to incorporate some 3d stuff to my sig as the new thing I'm trying out and just trying to make sure I could still use photoshop =P
Is "I made everything from scratch" a sufficient excuse?

What do you guys think? How should I improve this?
If you guys want to show me examples by any chance, I'll upload the PSD file(i'm not sure if you want that or not...it's quite messy....).

Even if you don't want to take the time to critique, even a rating from 1 to 10 would be appreciated, thanks.

On second thought..it doesn't look too bad after 12 hours of sleep...I'll use it as a sig for now.

I think I know what you are trying to do but didnt seem to work lol:

1. You should really improve the background more, its basically random parts and spotlight things on the left side.
2. You shouldnt put the main focus of your sig off to the side like that, especially if it is text. It makes eyes wander
3. The debris flying off is kinda tacky in my opinion, no offense, unless you have the same kind of theme in the background.
4. You should improve the lighting of the signature, it looks pretty much bland too me.

Ill add more stuff later if I can think of it

What about....this one:

Things I specifically worked on:
-lighting (Cheerful)
-Took out the debris (Cheerful)
-Made it smaller (Xzero)
-Changed the colors, I didn't like them that much either. (Shade)
-Didn't blur anything, except some highlights (Shade)
-More centered text (Cheerful)
-Took a more minimalistic approach, especially with the background (Adam, Cheerful)

This was actually a brand new one started from scratch, and I made the background originate from the 3D program as well, resulting in that cool reflection.

Looks cool, but it got a little too simple.

Personally, I liked the first one better.

I tried experimenting with some stuff, but it ended up making it look really messy and just taking away from the sleek look that I was going for.
This is most likely due to my inexperience, and I just couldn't think of anything to spice it up with.
I really do like the simple look though, it's got its own sense of style.

After I got this version, I thought about adding some more things, I was suggested to add raindrops (not in the active process of raining, but just settled), which doesn't sound like a bad idea, but it was getting late, I might consider something like that in my next one though, or V2 of this.
