the first one if i had to choose some advice dont make the text to obtrusive also read some tuts learn how to make ur bg look nicer

Also, don't put scan lines on the face... its really noticeable...

your new one is good, but the border is bad, I would get rid of the 2nd border, being the bigger one, and put the first border on overlay, then duplicate it say, 2 times, to change the color, and if you don't like, just use the 1st border, and bring the opacity down on it to say, 70-80.

... don't get rid of the border, I would change the color of it, or put in on overlay, then duplicate it a few times and see how that looks.
