| Gunzfactorian | Well. I've been trying to figure this out for a while and I finally found out how to do it - So i thought i'd share it with you. For this tutorial I will be using Adobe Photoshop CS3 First, Make a new document. Make it 64x64 pixels and set the background to transparent. ![]() Setup So now you have a fresh document. Find your graphic you wish to use for your clan picture. For this tutorial I will be using a chicken ;] Paste your chicken into your Document and resize it to fit onto the document. [To resize, click the move tool (the top one) and select your chicken, then at the top it should say show transform controls. Tick this and move the nodes to fit the picture onto your document] You now should have something like this: ![]() Chicken on document Now, we need to remove the white from the background. You can do this in a number of ways. Either by using the magic wand tool and deleting the white area or using the polygonal lasso tool (i prefer one of these). Once you have done that - you should have something that looks like this. ![]() Chicken with transparent background We are approaching the end now ;] For this tutorial I will not be adding any text or filters. Now we have our finished clan mark. Hit Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S [Save for web and devices] Or you can go to File > Save for web and devices. A new window will pop up and you need to go to the drop-down box to the right and select "PNG-24". ![]() Saving.. Finally - Click save and select your target destination for the file to be saved. Upload it to ijji via your clan homepage. ... And wait :] Voila :] ![]() Outcome :] Please thank me if this tutorial helped you in any way possible and tell me if I have made any mistakes or if anything needs to be added :] Last edited by [Katana]; 10-26-2007 at 06:59 PM. |
